I'm sure everyone has seen the news cycles about the Clinton email scandal, and hopefully like me, you are already sick and tired of hearing about them. However, I have to say one more thing about this scandal, and it’s one of many reasons why I won't vote for Hillary Clinton. I believe that she knew exactly what she was doing when she sent those emails, as well as fully believing she would be untouchable if she got into trouble. A question that I have is why are politicians held to a lesser standard than the hard-working Americans? These are the people that we elect to office, so that our voice is heard, but in reality little of the American voice is heard. Most of these people are corrupt and in each other’s pockets, so when, God forbid, one of them gets into trouble, it is quickly hidden and never seen again. In the live Capitol Hill meeting with FBI director James Comey that was held on July 7, 2016, he stated that "only three emails held classified information." Do you really believe that out of the thousands of emails that Clinton sent and received, only three held classified information?
During the meeting Comey repeatedly put his foot in his mouth, including saying that if a government worker handled classified information the way that Clinton did, then they would have been disciplined. How does that make sense? How can I vote for someone that clearly mishandled classified information, but because of who she is, she’s not going to be held responsible? Comey goes on to say that for the three and a half hours that his team questioned Clinton, there is no audio tape or transcript of the interview. So, there is simply no proof of anything that Comey is saying? If there is no proof that what you are saying is correct, then can we assume that you are just trying to get on her good side? Here we have Director Comey, who is the only one to testify, but he didn't question Clinton in person?
Although there are many reasons why I won't be voting for Clinton on Election Day, this email scandal is among them. In a simple world, no one would care about who's sending emails and what is in them. However, this is the United States and because of the classified information, no matter how big or small, that she sent and received, she should be held responsible.
Why should I vote for someone who thinks that nothing can touch her?
