1. Wearing the flag on clothing. 

2. Advertising with the flag. 

3. Creating a logo with the flag for military holidays.

4. Disposable paper flags.

5. Hanging the flag over your bed vertically. 

6. Not properly folding a flag when moving it from place to place.

7. Adding any kind of image or text over the flag (ex. USA, an eagle, Trump's face, etc).

8. Painting or recreating the flag in different colors. 

9. Displaying it on the wrong side of your moving vehicle (which is the passengers' side fender or the rear in the center... not wedged into the tailgate of your truck). 

10. Not replacing a flag when the ends have been damaged due to...

11. Not lowering and folding the flag when inclement weather hits.

12. Flying the flag at an equal or lower height than another country or states' flag. 

13. Wearing a flag pin on a noncollared shirt or suit jacket. 

14. Decorating food with an image of the flag. 

15. Not lowering the flag to half-mast for the two days following the death of a US Congressperson. 

And actually, according to flag code, the flag shall be lowered to half-mast for one calendar month following the death of a current President, ten days following the death of the Vice President, for two days following the death of a member of Congress, a party leader, Supreme Court justice, Supreme Court Associate justice, and appointed cabinet members.

The nation lost an absolutely wonderful man with the passing of Senator John McCain. He will be dearly missed, and the next senator to take his shoes has a very large role to fill. Thank you for your life, Senator McCain.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
