I was born on May 24th, and once the nurses were done doing all their medical procedures, I laid in my father’s arms watching the Cleveland Indians. I think from that moment on I have always loved the Indians. Ever since I was young I would go to, then Jacob’s field, to watch my favorite team take on numerous opponents. I have been a fan through the good and the bad. I love the Indians so much I wrote a poem about them that eventually got published. These past two seasons have been amazing to watch, not just for Indians fans, but baseball fans in general. Last year the Indians went to the World Series against the Chicago Cubs.
Unfortunately, the Cleveland Indians lost but they came back this season and are proving themselves again.
This season the Cleveland Indians have broken the streak of most consecutive wins. This record was previously held by the Chicago Cubs with 21 wins. The Cleveland Indians beat it with 22 consecutive wins. That winning streak has set the mood for the rest of the season and the postseason. The Indians were named the AL central champions shortly after their winning streak ended. As I’m writing this article their record is currently 94-57, which makes them second in the league right behind the Los Angeles Dodgers 96-55.
I have such high hopes for the Cleveland Indians the rest of this season and for future seasons. It makes me so proud seeing how hard the team works and how much their hard work in playing off. Seeing the team dynamics and seeing how the city of Cleveland comes together to watch them play and work their hardest, even gives me chills sometimes. I can not wait to see what the offseason brings for the team and the fans that love them so much.
