Marshmallow firesides, leaves are turning to breathtaking colors, pumpkin flavored everything has finally returned, and baggy sweaters with boots are once again my best friend. Unfortunately the sweater weather comes hand in hand with cold & flu season plus a side of allergy symptoms galore. So this got me thinking...

Let me start with, there is a time and a place for medical intervention, for sure! But thousands, if not millions of people around the world use all natural remedies instead of picking up a prescription bottle and swear by it. So there must be pretty dang good reason right? It was almost 2 in the morning this past July and I had to be at work in exactly 7 hours. Panic set in and I couldn't sleep no matter how many sheep I counted. I'm sure you can guess what happened next. I ended up grabbing my phone, then fell down the rabbit hole into the oh so addictive world of Pinterest. With hopes to find a solution to help the sleeplessness, I clicked on at least 20 pins that claimed to have the "cure" for insomnia. I was absolutely desperate. Obviously, there is no magic cure to eliminate this issue completely, I knew that much. But I was still hopeful that something could make it a little easier.
After a little searching and testing trial runs, I found a recipe THAT WORKED. It worked like a charm! Best of all, the only ingredients were coconut oil, sea salt, and honey, which was already downstairs in my kitchen cabinets. Who the heck knew it would be that simple? It was (still is) working so well that now it's a MUST HAVE nightly routine. If you also suffer from the inability to sleep some nights, click here to give it a go. What do you have to lose? Besides those yucky dark eye bags in the morning!

After a week of my "at home sleep trial" working so well, I started to research into other natural remedies that could possibly help me with some of my other daily hurdles. Back on Pinterest again, I found that there was basically an all natural remedy for anything you can think of. Besides a remedy to make chocolate cake calorie free. I'm still on the hunt for that one. So in the beginning of August I made a commitment to myself to stick to all natural remedies and to toss out the drug store meds. I truly wanted to put it to the test and see if it would actually make this "incredible life altering change to my body" that the entire internet world was raving about.

It's now it's been a full 90 days since I started and strangely enough, the internet was RIGHT. My mind, body, skin and everything else feels incredible. I cant remember a time where I've felt as good as I do right now. I know I'm not the only one who has considered trying all natural remedies so I felt it was my duty to share the ones that have earned every bit of their hype in my book.

As a disclaimer I want to remind you to always speak with your doctor if you are currently taking any other medications before stopping cold turkey, that could cause more harm than good. Also speak with them if you are unsure of any ingredients or have questions. Please also remember that everyone's body chemistry is different and some of the remedies I tried may not be as successful on you as they did me. Who knows they may even work better! Why not try? Life is short my friends!

Below you will find the remedies that i feel actually worked for me which include headaches, sore throats, sinus infections, bloating & cramps, earaches, heartburn, stomach aches, sore eyes, and other miscellaneous aches and pains. I also included a list of water remedies (some preventative) that I believe could help a number of issues including your immune system, anxiety, and healthier skin. Basically a go to for your mind, body and soul.

Click directly on the photos if you would like to visit the source where I found each remedy. Feel free to research them further!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
