During the summer time, parents are always looking for activities to do with children. This summer we have come up with a list of fun children museums for all ages to explore.

1. Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum

About: They have exhibits that concentrate on early learning, science, literacy, math, art and music. They provide an educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop introductory skills, to participate in play and to develop personal connections.

General Admission: $8.00 and MHCM Members: Free

2. Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame

Address: 240 Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924

About: The museum collects and preserves the history of harness racing and serves as a hall of fame for The American Standardbred horse.

General Admission: Free

3. The Children's Museum of Science and Technology (The Junior Museum)

About: Educational exhibits feature fun, hands-on stations about science and technology, plus a planetarium.

General Admission: $5.00 per person ages 2 and up. Free for SUNY Poly CMOST Members.

4. Volunteer Fireman's Hall & Museum of Kingston

About: All your firefighting questions can be answered here. You will get to see some of the oldest equipment to the newest.

5. Hudson Highlands Nature Museum

About: At the museum you will be able to hike and visit different exhibits of wildlife along with learning about how to care for your community’s environment.

General Admission: Free to museum members, $3 for non-members

6. The Den of Marbletown

About: A Steiff museum, a Steiff gift shop, and a family suite Bed and Breakfast where teddy bears teach you about the history of Steiff.

7. New York State Museum
