1. Bowling

Whether you go duck-pin or ten-pin bowling, you're guaranteed to have a great time! This is a date where you can try to one-up your partner with a higher score and show off your "athletic ability."

2. Night Under The Stars

Nothing gets more romantic than this, or cheaper for that matter. All you need for this date is an open sky full of stars and the person you want to share it with! (A blanket may also be recommended.)

3. Drive-In Movie Theater

This idea goes a little old school but is still classic in every way. There is nothing better than trying to snuggle up in the car and enjoy a movie with some snacks.

4. Local Concerts

Just get up and go on this one! Look up what's playing and check it out. You never know, you could find something new that you like!

5. Hiking Trails

This may not be suitable for everyone. But there are some nice hiking trails that aren't too strenuous that you can share with your sweetheart. Nothing beats sharing an incredible view with them when you make it to the top.

6. Picnic in the Park

A picnic is just an excuse to sit down and eat outside with your loved one (as if you needed an excuse to do that!). Pack a nice blanket and any food you can, and enjoy a nice day under the sun together.

7. Board Game Night

There are plenty of ways to make this date night interesting! You can pick any game you want (maybe one that you're good at) and say that the loser has to perform a chore! For example, if you lose a game of Monopoly, you have to wash the dishes and do the laundry.

8. Movie Marathon

No date is better than sitting on the couch together with a giant bowl of popcorn and assorted candies and binge-watching "Harry Potter" or "Game of Thrones" all night. Watch until your little heart is content!

9. Day Trip to the Beach

Ocean CIty, NJ

Brandi Rosenberger, August 2018

If you and your honey both have a shared day off, take the plunge and drive to the beach! Most beaches are a short drive away from here, and for a trip that may only take an hour or two, you can have an entire day of fun on the boardwalk and in the waves!

10. Put Together a Photo Album

Going through pictures together and making an album of them is a great way to reminisce over all of the great times that you've had together and bring up some funny memories that you most likely forgot about.

11. Cook A Meal Together

Grocery Shopping

Pick a meal that you both love and spend some time in the kitchen cooking together. Assign responsibilities to each person on what they need to cook and at the end of the night, enjoy your food that was made with love.

12. Maryland Zoo

Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my! It's always an adventure to spend the day at the zoo. Seeing all of the animals that the Maryland Zoo has to offer is always worth the trip!

13. Classic Dinner Date

Texas Roadhouse

The ever classic dinner date is something that will never go out of style. Whether you're revisiting an old favorite or trying something new and exciting, everyone loves food.

Having a bunch of date ideas is great, but nothing is better than sharing it with someone you love.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
