Life moves pretty fast sometimes. No, all the time, actually. It becomes stressful, especially while in college. While juggling school work, friends and your social life, it is hard not to become stressed.
1. Stop asking yourself "What if?"
Everybody has had an event in his or her life that has caused one to ask the question “what if?” It is stressful knowing your life could have been a lot different if you were to choose another option. You can’t go back in time though. As cheesy as it is, everything in life happens for a reason. Even if the outcome isn’t positive, it is only up-hill from here.
2. Quit stressing over the little things.
Stressing out over something, even if it is small, isn’t healthy for you. It is good to let go of all the stress, and live with a more care-free attitude. There is always a good mixture of people who are too carefree, and those who don’t even know how to live in the moment. Being spontaneous will always keep you on your feet, whether you take a random road trip, or go midnight swimming with some of your friends.
3. Leave negative people in your past.
Being surrounded by negative people can bring you down too. At times, you won’t even realize how much their attitude affects yours. Negative people are toxic. People will walk all over you without thinking twice about it. Always try to surround yourself with positive vibes.
4. Treat yourself every now and then.
Every now and then, we get so caught up in work that we don’t have enough time for ourselves. Once every other week, you should have a day that is totally devoted to pampering yourself. Get your nails done, go to the spa, or go shopping. Being away from the stressors of life for just a couple hours is good for you.
5. Take a break from social media.
Last week, I decided to delete my Twitter and it was the best decision I have ever made. There is a lot of negativity that comes along with social media. Logging out of your accounts and tuning more into your life will make for positivity.
