The definition of a best friend is a person's closest friend. The special person that is like a sister or brother without actually being related to you. No matter who you are, everyone has a best friend. Sometimes your lucky and have more than one best friend. Which I think is fantastic because best friends help you when your family can't.

You share secrets, share your stuff, and most likely share food with your best friend. Your best friend or best friends always have your back even when you are wrong and they don't care because they will always be there to support you. And when you are wrong and fall, they will be there to help you back up. They will be there when you succeed and be the first ones to hug you and congratulate you.

I only have a few friends that I call my best friends. They are the ones that I go to when I need a shoulder to cry on, or they make me laugh when I am down, and we have fun together no matter what.

My best friends help me a lot. I don't drive, honestly. I have practiced a few times, but I don't have my learners or drivers license. Two weeks ago, a friend took me out driving. And she was calm and instructed very well. I did better than I thought. I probably wouldn't even try if she didn't push me to do it. That is what friends are for to help you out of your comfort zone and I love her for it.

Another one of my best friends, she never plans what we are going to do because we just wing it sometimes. Most of the time, we end doing several things in one day. Like one time we went out to eat at IHOP, went to like two stores then went bowling before she dropped me off at work. We wing it probably 99.9 percent of the time. It definitely takes my mind off things and cheers me up. That is probably one of the reasons I love her so much.

Then, there is another friend who will make me laugh with only a text. She doesn't even have to talk with me to make my day. Whether it be a text or a picture, she makes me smile. She can call me up, talk for hours without either of us noticing that we've been on the phone that long.

Lastly, these girls are twins and they don't live down the road, or within driving distance. They live on the other side of the U.S. and yet they always listen to me. They help me figure things out, give me advice , or just listen to me complain until I have nothing else to say. I have even fallen asleep on them when on the phone late at night.

These are only some of what my best friends do for me. And I have more friends that do anything for me and I love them. I can count on all of them when I need them. I don't know what I would do without them.

Like the song Hannah Montana used to sing, a true friend is there till the end.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
