9 Things Your Best Friend Needs To Hear Right Now

You would honestly be lying if you said you didn't have a best friend. The one person in life, outside of family, who is literally always there for you. The person you share some of your best memories with.

Whether it's been three, five, or 10 years; you literally can't imagine life without them. You picture all the monumental moments in your life with them by your side along with your family of course.

But in friendship, things often get crazy and hectic. You don't see each other as much as you used too. You forget to tell them things that sometimes they really need to hear.

1. I appreciate you.

This is pretty simple. You appreciate your BFF more than anyone because they've been by your side through it all. They remember your embarrassing AIM username, that boy you "loved", and everything in between. Most of us know how much our BFF appreciates us, but sometimes we just need to hear it.

2. I wouldn't make it without you.

There have been times that if it wasn't for my best friend, I have probably zero clue what I would have done. She reassures me of every decision, tells me if I'm considering making the wrong one and lets me know if I'm being just a tad dramatic.. or maybe more than a tad.

3. You're the best.

Honestly, though, is there ANYONE better than your best friend? I doubt it. Family does not count in this instance. Your best friend is your BEST friend for a reason because they're the best... obviously.

4. You're a life saver.

There are times when I absolutely don't know how I would have made it through without you. You always manage to pick me up, keep me up and stop me from falling. You've saved me more times than I can count.

5. I'm proud of you.

This is something so under done. I can't tell you enough how happy i am for you in all you've accomplished. How proud I am of everything you've done, continue to do and will do. Feel like the proudest mom ever every time you accomplish and achieve something.

6. No one can replace you.

There is no one in the world who could ever do for me what you've done for me. Over the years of friendship, fights, laughing, crying and so much more; there is no one who could even come close to you. There is no one who can do what you've done over the years. So basically, you're stuck with me forever. #sorrynotsorry

7. I'm always here for you.

Even when we're fighting, when you did the complete opposite of my advice, and everything in-between, I'm always here for you. When you decide on a totally different career path, when you break up with who you thought was the love of your life and when you achieve your biggest achievement, I'm always here for you. And I always will be, when you get your dream job, when you get engaged, married and everything else that you'll experience, I'm here.

8. Thank You.

Thank you; for being my best friend, my other half, my person. For loving me no matter what. For laughing with me, crying with me, arguing with me and talking to me. Thank you for being you, because that's what I'm most thankful for.

9. I love you.

It's really that simple. I love you, more than anything. More than anyone you may think I'm "replacing" you with. More than pizza, margs and cool ranch Doritos. I love you for being my best friend.

So today, take the time, to tell your best friend all these things. They may reciprocate or they'll tell you how corny your being. But they'll appreciate it more than you know.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
