Listen, I know we all want that summer body, the super fit version of ourselves that we envision, but it doesn't happen overnight.
Personally I am tired of seeing the miracle weight loss pills and the juicing diets because in reality they don't work. Think about it, what happens if you do lose that weight? You're going to go right back to the unhealthy lifestyle you have been living because you can just do this quick unhealthy cleanse again. Being healthy isn't about pumping your body with pills and juice so you can be fit. Being healthy is about eating right and working out regularly.
Getting in shape and losing weight doesn't happen right away and you may even see a weight gain on the scale at first but don't let that stop you from continuing your workout regime. You body isn't meant to lose 10 pounds a month let alone a week. All these cleanses you see and and miracle pills promising to help you lose 3 pounds a day are all scams in one way or another. You're only wasting precious time you could be spending at the gym actually losing weight. Just set a routine that fits your schedule and keep it up.
Look at your role models for fitness and notice that they eat healthy and workout regularly. You can't starve yourself or take laxatives in hope that you can lose that 10 pounds in a week. You're only going to lose water weight and the first thing you eat you'll gain all that weight back.
So listen, when getting in shape you have to be mindful that it may take 6 months of hard work but in the end it will be worth it, because not only did you lose that weight the healthy way, but you also have a routine that you can stick with to maintain that healthy lifestyle you've developed.
P.S. Just because you workout doesn't mean you can eat that whole pint of ice cream.
