I'm a firm believer that God puts people in our lives to either be a blessing or a lesson. Each person we meet is put into our lives for a specific reason. Not every lesson is bad and not every blessing is perfect, but each makes us better. We might not always know why someone is brought into our lives until they leave or we stop to appreciate their friendship, but we should always thank them for being a part of our lives.
To the blessings
Thank you for coming into my life and being there when I needed someone to laugh with, cry with, or just sit and watch TV. Thank you for teaching me that there will always be someone there whether I'm going through a good or bad time. Thank you for coming into my life and staying no matter what. I learn something everyday from you including how to be a better person and friend. Because of you, I know the type of people I want in my life and what true friendship is. I know that a real friend will be there no matter the circumstance. You might not always agree with me, but you always respect my opinion and feelings. I'm sorry if sometimes I take you for granted or don't show you how much I appreciate your love and support. I wish I could thank you a million times for all you've done and all you'll probably do for me in the future. I wouldn't be who I am without you and whether I've known you my whole life or just a few months, I'm forever indebted to you.
To the lessons
Thank you for coming into my life and teaching me something valuable. Like the blessings, you have made me into a stronger person and I'm grateful for the time you were in my life. Not only have you taught me who doesn't belong in my life, you've taught me the type of people that do belong. Lessons have come in in many different ways. Some have taught me to be a better friend and not take the good ones for granted and others have taught me how not to act towards others. Whether the lesson was small or large, good or bad, I wouldn't change the impact you've had on my life because you've made me who I am today. Whether we had a fight or just simply grew apart, thank you for teaching me to be strong and to fight for what I want and believe in.
