1. The laundry room battle begins, yet again.
When you're home for six weeks, you get used to being able to do laundry at any time your heart desires- or better yet, having your mom as your own personal wash maid. Unfortunately, when you get back to school and you have to share 20 washers and dryers with 600+ other people, things can get a little crazy.
2. You finally get to see your partner-in-crime, your sister/brother-from-another-mister/mother, your roommate.
Unless you're lucky enough to have your roomie live 45 minutes away, chances are you haven't seen each other since the last day of the semester.
3. "Good-bye" homemade lasagna and "hello" meal plan.
Unless you can fit leftovers of mom's homestyle cooking into your mini-fridge, it's time to get back in the mood for frozen pizza and cups of ramen noodles.
4. Walking in the door and going to sleep at 6am is acceptable again.
You live at home for four out of the 12 months of the year, yet your parents still try to hit you with the 12 AM curfew every time you come home for break. Thankfully, after you get back to school, you don't have to worry about anyone screaming at you after a long night of partying for waking them up at 3 AM... or judging you for waking up half-past-noon.
5. Homework, homework, HOMEWORK.
You're only into your second class of the semester, but you already have three chapters to read in the textbook you haven't bought yet, two MyStatLab assignments and a 15-page paper to write on a topic you've never heard of... all due tomorrow at midnight. Too early for a breakdown? Not when you're a college student.
6. Leaving your pet.
You knew the day was coming, but tried to ignore it as best as possible. Thats's right, it's parting day between you and your pet. You don't know if it's harder for them or you, but you pray they'll remember your face when you come home.
7. Being one semester closer to graduation.
The most bittersweet of them all, and that's starting a new brand new semester. You're 15 weeks closer to earning your degree and moving on with your life to bigger and better, but that also means that you're 15 weeks closer to the best four years of your life being nothing but great memories. Don't rush or stress your way through college, just remember to enjoy every day and have fun.
