Dear Big,
When I was first introduced to the idea of having a big, I was completely freaked out. I've always been the big sister in my family and I didn't know how I would feel about this, but, as we grew closer, I knew that we were the perfect match. We instantly had a bond from the first time that we met and that bond just strengthened over time.
I knew that I didn't just pick the right Greek family, but that I also chose the most perfect big. Of course, things were a little awkward at first. Were you supposed to be my best friend, mentor, big sister, family, or to just hold the title of "Big?" We quickly realized that you were (and still are) all of those things to me.
You have been there for me through the scary, heartbreaking, happy, emotional, stressful, and even the exciting times that college throws at us. I often take our friendship for granted and I am so sorry. I know that I don't say this often enough, but thank you.
Thank you so much for everything. I truly appreciate the inspirational person that you are. I look up to you and strive to be at least half of the woman that you are. You have become an amazing role model, mentor, big sister and best friend all wrapped up into one.
You deal with my daily sass, moodiness, wild personality, and even my stubbornness. You are my family and my go-to person. I thank you so much for knowing exactly what I'm thinking by just looking at my facial expressions. I thank you for being my motivation and for understanding me as a person. You have helped me develop into an exceptional sorority woman and I am forever grateful. You are the down-to-earth, academic focused personality that I need to balance out my wild, outgoing self.
I honestly appreciate you being my shoulder to cry on, letting me rant about pointless things, listening to my ridiculous ideas, being my constant support system, and for always standing by my side. You are my big, my family, and my person. I will forever cherish you as a person and for the friendship that we have. I thank you for the countless adventures and laughs.
Without you by my side, I have no idea where I would be. I know that I am a little crazy, wild, and very unpredictable, which is why you're basically a superhero for loving me as me, but I appreciate you. You're the best and I love you!
