Insecurity is the plague used to cripple us from living out our full potential. Jealousy bullies our insecurity — it fills our head with “enough's.” Good enough, pretty enough, funny enough, smart enough. Satan uses Jealousy and Insecurity together to keep our boldness locked away. We are called to be bold.
The question is, how do we remove our jealousy and insecurity to let our boldness out of its cage? One thing that is beautifully given to us as a follower of Jesus, is the words of God. What better way to equip ourselves to fight the battle against insecurity and jealousy than dwelling on verses that push us to live a life in redemption. By being fully immersed in His word and in love with His teaching, we are able to let our boldness free.
"The wicked flee when no one is pursuing them, the righteous are as bold as a lion."
-Proverbs 28:1
"So, if the old way, which has been replaced, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new, which remains forever! Since the new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence."
-2 Corinthians 3:11-12
"So let us keep on coming boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
-Hebrews 4:16
"On the day I called, you answered me; you made me bold with strength in my soul."
-Psalm 138: 3
"We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in out bodies."
-2 Corinthians 4:8-1
My challenge to you is dwell on these verses and be inspired to be bold. Pursue life and people. Don’t let "enough's," insecurity or jealously hold you back from being passionate. With the Living God on your side, you are powerful. Pursuing the Lord and chasing after His heart is the beginning to a wonderful life of boldness. Faith is the greatest test of our boldness, and after that is attained, then what can stop us?
