1. Isaiah 40:30-31 “Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
It’s Monday of exam week, you have four days to get it all together and you’re freaking out. Take a deep breath and see the bigger picture. You will be done in a week, exams passed, stuff packed, on your way home. God has a plan never involves you failing, even if you feel like it sometimes.
2. Psalms 55:22 “Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
It’s 3 a.m., your coffee is running low, you don’t have it in you to write another paper. You’re freaking out for the 300th time this week. Take a break. Say a prayer. God will hear your cry.
3. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Take a break from studying, go outside and enjoy God's creations. Twenty minutes will not kill you. You are tired and you need rest, God will provide it for you.
4. Philippians 4:6,7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Your hardest exam is in an hour. You’re surrounded by papers. Your mind is scrambled eggs. Stop, take a break, and talk to God. He says he will give you peace.
5. Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Exam time. Walk in there with confidence. You are smart and you got this. How can you be worried when you have God on your side?
6. Psalm 100 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Remember through it all to praise Him. Praise Him when it’s hard and you’re tired. Praise Him in the middle of your papers, your test, you’re projects. He is the reason you have made it this far. He will get your though this. At the end of all of your exams, remember who brought you through the valley.
