Throughout New England many people think that summer is the best time of the year. Personally for me i would have to think differently and say that fall is the best time of the year. During the fall that is when most kids are back in school since they are on summer vacation until late summer and early fall. During the season of fall that is when many fun events happen and people are able to enjoy the crisp fall mornings and nights and be able to be thankful that they are living in New England or any other northern state. During this time of the year, leaves are beginning to change color from green to red and begin to fall off trees. During this time you are able to rake leaves and have fun by jumping into the piles when you are finished. In the fall that is when many people like to drink hot apple cider and be able to just enjoy the fall air that blows through with the wind.

Also during the fall, that is when football season starts back up whether it is high school, college or the NFL. This for me is my favorite time of year because i am able to watch some of my favorite athletes and to be able to watch the games with some of my friends back at school. For me I really enjoy being able to go to my friends dorm and being able to sit down on the couch and watch the New England Patriots play or going to watch a Dean Bulldogs game as well. Another sporting event that takes place during the fall months is baseball. Even though baseball is started in the spring and some teams don't make it to the the post season it is really exciting to watch for the teams that do make it because they will have the chance to play in the World Series. The third sport that i really enjoy watching even though in high school and college it starts in the winter would be hockey, With the NHL having their opening games in October it is fun for my friends and I to be able to be watching football and then at halftime be able to watch hockey until it returns and then just be able to switch back and forth between the to.

Finally with the beginning of fall and being back at Dean College for another fun school year, it is finally time to start planning for our Fall Fest with some of the different student run committees. This is always fun because we are able to put something fun on for the entire student body as well as being able to do something that is related to fall such as painting pumpkins as well as Caramel apples. With Fall Fest it is fun to be able to get the entire student body doing something where they are able to prepare for the fall and think about some of the fun holidays that are coming up such as Halloween and Thanksgiving. With halloween coming up on October 31st there is usually a big dance that is thrown for the entire school and a big Thanksgiving dinner that is thrown a couple of nights before we leave for thanksgiving break.
