Experiencing live music is an awesomely unique experience. It's so much different than listening to music through headphones because of the palpable energy you feel when you're surrounded by other people who are all singing along to the music at the top of their lungs. There are so many awesome things about concerts, but here are just a few things that make a concert worth the price of admission.

1. The anticipation

From the moment you buy the ticket, you immediately look forward to the event. Especially if you're going to see one of your favorite artists, the anticipation and excitement become almost unbearable as the concert date gets closer.

2. Getting ready

Concerts are the perfect opportunity to put on your most fashionable outfit and get all dolled up. You definitely want to look your best just in case you get noticed by the artist (or maybe just a cute person sitting near you in the audience).

3. Getting to the venue

Getting to the venue is when the excitement really reaches a peak. It really starts to set in that the day you've been waiting for forever is finally here!

4. The merch

After finding your seat, you can venture out and purchase some super cool (and usually super expensive) concert merch. You and everyone else who attended the concert will definitely be sporting it to class the next day.

5. When the lights go down

The moment right before the artist takes the stage is one of the most thrilling parts of a concert. Especially in a large venue, you can literally feel the excitement run through the crowd. People start hooting and hollering and the entire place is filled with an electric energy unlike anything else.

6. Jumping around and having a great time

Getting to dance around and sing along with your favorite songs without having a care in the world is undeniably one of the best parts of seeing music performed live. Even if you don't really know a song, you can still have fun jamming and having an awesome time in the unique environment.

7. The memories

The memories you make at concerts are awesome and unforgettable. You'll remember the awesome time you had for years to come.

Next time you go to a concert, remember to enjoy yourself and take in all the little things that make live music so great!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
