Hi guys, I miss you. That’s all I can say. The times we had in high school will be those stories I tell my kids when I’m older and trying to make myself look cool- - so thank you for that. We were the closest of close friends there were; we were exploring, driving, and just hanging most days of the week. We reminded each other that school is school; it is very important, but we need to make times for memories. That, indeed, we did.
There were five of us, and we called ourselves the Adventure Crew, aka the A.C. We made pacts, stories and best of all, we made relationships that will withstand everything that life throws at us. Thanks for being some of the biggest impactors on my life.
To you guys:
Hey, what’s up? To those nights spent driving with nowhere to go, blaring throw backs and laughing until we cry, to the days spent walking the lakes watching that sunset that seemed to always fade too quickly. To those restless nights staring out at the city wondering about our futures, where we would be and more importantly how each and every one of us would intertwine in each other’s lives. To the times when we needed each other there the most just to be a calming presence. Thinking back: wow, you guys are a safe haven.
To your families:
Thank you. Thank you for raising someone so special to me. Thank you for welcoming me into your family for dinners, hang outs and allowing these relationships to grow into a greater meaning. I love seeing your family, their stories of you as a young, awkward toddler and their amazing cooking has really helped me along the way. Getting to know your siblings on a personal level has made this experience so much more fun.
To your future selves:
You guys have no idea how much potential each and every one of you holds, you have a gift so uniquely you, which will send you off to great things. Remember that you are always stronger than you think, and that we will always have you back. No matter what- You’ve got a friend in me.
I love you to the moon and back, losers.
