Seven years ago we were standing in a gym practicing for our rec league volleyball team. This weekend, I stood as one of your bridesmaids at your wedding.
Six years ago the only thing your wore were band t-shirts and vans. Now as you walked down the aisle I teared up because you were so pretty in your dress, I couldn't believe you were getting married.
Five years ago we walked everywhere we wanted to go, no matter what the weather was like. Now I've moved away and I had to take a small road-trip to be there on your day. Soon you will move away too, with your husband who is excelling in the Army. Life is taking you across the country and be sure that I am visiting as soon as possible.
Four years ago we suffered through our AP World History class, you fed me Pop-Tarts, and candy crush came out. Now I am lucky if we get to see each other once a month, but we still have just as much fun.
Three years ago you did my make-up in AP Government and you were the worst/best to play "Black Ops" with. Now I've learned how to do my own wings, and I'm still wishing you would play "Runescape"....
Two years ago you shot "Dr. Pepper" out of your nose and we graduated high school. Now we toasted your wedding with sparkling cider (being under-age is hard,) and you said your vows.
One year ago I moved away for school and I called you whenever I needed to talk or needed a laugh. Now I'm still not more than a phone call away, no matter where you live.
Thank you for sharing the past seven years with me, I can't wait to see where life takes you in the next seven. Just make sure you always have a place for me to sleep, because I'll be there.
