Being Idiotic With Tomi!

Tomi Lahren is the modern-day Bill O'Reilly and I am sick of her.

Being Idiotic With Tomi!
SOHH

This is Tomi Lahren. She is the host of The Blaze Channel's "Tomi."

You're going to see a lot of Tomi on your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Why you ask? Well, Lahren is known for her ignorant comments on the topic of the day. Her segment, "Final Thoughts with Tomi," is always widely shared for the sheer ignorance of her knowledge. Sad thing is she believes in what she's saying is right and that we (who oppose her) can't handle her "truths." All in all, bullsh*t if you ask me.

Lahren gained attention with her comments on entertainer Beyonce Knowles-Carter's performance on Super Bowl 50 last February. She claimed that the singer was promoting police brutality (as Beyonce and her dancers were dressed in militant, Black Panther-inspired garb). She added that the Black Panther Party was a group that "use violence and intimidation to advance, not racial equality, but an overthrow of white domination." She lied about the Panther's overall mission, then claimed that Beyonce did it for attention by not letting America heal, ripping off the so-called, "Historic Band-Aid." Lahren decided to advise Beyonce that her husband, rapper Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) was a drug dealer for 14 years and that she should talk about that in her home.

Her next attack was towards Jesse Williams and his impeccable speech on last month's BET Awards. As Williams discussed about the black men and women who lost their lives in the hands of police brutality, she used it to talk about how some of the victims were reportedly "trying" to grab the officers' guns, which led to their demise. Williams talked about people who critique our oppression and have no interest in the equal rights for African Americans, which she replied, "Please tell me, Mr. Williams, what rights Black people don't have?" She continued to say that white people did have the right to critique since some fought in the Civil War for the ending of slavery. And as Williams spoke about black appropriation (taking our creation with no respect for the creators), she claimed that Jesse with countless others (i.e. Beyonce, Jada Pinkett Smith and Rev. Al Sharpton) are trying to divide our country and claim he wasn't a true humanitarian because of his speech.

Earlier this week, Lahren commented on the killing of Alton Sterling. She claimed that the video wasn't legit as it seem crappy and that you could hear a "taser" being used. She claimed that we shouldn't judge what we can't see. She continued to talk about Sterling's previous offenses and called the shooter of the Orlando attacks to be a terrorist in the name of radical Islam. "Be mad, be mad as hell, but don't create your own narrative," she says.

I think she's a troll. I think she's only here to piss us off, especially since her show isn't on nation cable. I was introduced to her, due to her comments about the Super Bowl Performance. For a proud BeyHive member, I was ready for the Beyonce backlash, but I was completely blindsided when she started to lie on the Black Panther Party's mission. The Black Panther Party was brought up to bring up African Americans in the turbulent 1960s. Do your research. Then she goes after Jay-Z being a drug dealer, thinking she told Beyonce a surprising secret. Jay always told us about his drug dealer past, but he always risen above it to become a better man. Her snide comment about Beyonce solving her problem at home was disrespectful.

Her comments about the police during the speech was ludicrous. Tamir Rice was a 12-year old boy, playing by himself in the park with a toy gun. He didn't try to take a gun from anybody, actually he was shot down from a distance. She said that white people had the right to critique since they helped out in the war. If you want to get critical, because some of the states up in the Northeast had slaves. Then again, do you want a trophy for that? Slavery shouldn't have happened in the first place. Jesse Williams isn't trying to divide us, he was waking up the sleep and informing the ones who try to play us for fools. Why is that when our entertainers speak out? White people get mad like we don't have a voice to use. I don't understand.

With the Alton Sterling shooting, she said we shouldn't trust a crappy video when the second, clearer video came out hours before her program. I didn't hear a "taser", but I sure heard a gunshot and the officer swearing afterwards... I heard that, but did you? Then we bring up Sterling's past with the law like the police knew that before they shot him cold-blooded. I don't really care about his past right now because he was shot for no reason. You don't know if that man was trying to redeem himself while being on probation. Alton Sterling was a husband. Was a father to five kids, who probably thought he was greatest thing in the world. So you decide to throw in his family's face about the past they were probably trying to get away from. You're petty, Tomi and I don't respect you for that. She brought up about the shooter being a terrorist for radical Islam and that was his reason. No, that man was a closet homosexual, who was angry and jealous of those, who lived their truth. Don't get it twisted.

Tomi Lahren, I don't respect you. You hit below the belt too many times to call it "truth," then get upset when someone comes back at you. You live in the land of make-believe to think that what you say is factual and truthful. You lie, throw unnecessary jabs, and think you can get away with it? Baby girl, I am not a fan. I will continue to call you out on your BS because it stinks. Tell us "don't create your own narrative," when you do it everyday on your little non-cable, basic show. Girl, bye!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
