Being in college comes with a lot of daily goals and obstacles that are often hard to reach. Most students take between four to six classes a semester and every semester it seems like every single one of those classes are requiring you to bend over backwards to get any type of "acceptable" grade. Besides the school work, most students are involved in an assortment of other things such as clubs, Greek life, and even part-time jobs. With most of our days planned out, by the hour, from start to finish, it's hard to imagine fitting in any sort of time to exercise or improving the physical well-being of your body. I constantly hear peers saying how they'll skip the gym, because the mound of other things they need to do are way more important. Many have the mindset that working out isn't what's going to look good on your resume at the end of your four years. Though this may be true, it's hard for me to not beg the question of whether your overall physical and mental well-being will still be there after four years if you treat exercise as such a low priority.

There are so many ways to fit in a quick and easy 30-minute workout every single day that will not only improve your mood but your overall well-being. You don't have to trek to the gym and do a standardized boring elliptical workout to feel better about yourself. Here are a few easy alternatives that can be done in the comfort of your own home and are sure to give you a satisfying sweat!

1. Kayla Itsine's Workout:

Kayla is an Australian-born workout guru who has found success in establishing her popular social media platforms as well as e-booklets that help women of all ages and body types obtain their "bikini body goals." I like her workout regimes because they are actually easy to do as a college student and don't require a lot of previous physical experience. Her workouts run in circuits of seven minutes and are done four times through. This workout is guaranteed to leave you sore the next day and can be done an efficient 28 minutes. Kayla's workout packets start at around $20.00 a month, depending on whether you want the nutrition guidelines on top of the workout guides. It's kind of a steal, if you ask me!

2. Emily Skye F.I.T:

Similar to Kayla, Emily focuses her workouts on HIIT training as well, but also includes motivational videos and emails to keep her members engaged and feeling supported through the process. Emily also has an online blog that helps users on a variety of different levels, besides just exercising tips, such as healthy relationships, dealing with hormones and even food allergy issues. Emily's workouts come in "phases" and include an array of things such as an interactive workout plan, fully detailed shopping lists and even an online support forum. Each phase can be bought for around $50 per packet.

3. Do Yoga With Me:

This is a free online web based site that provides free yoga videos to do in the comfort of your own home. Videos are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced individuals to cater to anyones needs. I think this is always a good alternative if you've been working out for a few days and need a break or find that you would rather stick to a low-key stretch intensive workout plan that strengthens muscles in a more relaxing way. Videos range in time so if you don't have all the time in the world, this will still work for you!

4. Walking/Jogging outside:

It seems pretty self-explanatory, but I think a lot of people forget that this is always an option, even at school. Most schools have plenty of outdoor space such as greens or trails for students to walk and run that is free of intersections and cars. Even if you decide to do a quick jog with a friend it'll make a difference in the long run to get some fresh air and a little break from your daily routine!

Along with these four workouts, it also helps if you get some type of device to help track your efforts such as a Fitbit watch or a fitness app on your phone. These devices help track information and allow you to see your progress. Even though you shouldn't dedicate all of your time to trying to stay fit, it's a good idea to devote at least a half hour of your day to finding something you love to do and making it a habit. Your health should always be high up on your list of priorities and being in college is no exception.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
