Everyone knows that the spring semester always flies by. As the end of March approaches, Baylor students can look forward to finishing tough classes and reaching the freedom of summer vacation. However, for freshmen, it’s a bitter-sweet time of the year. Some students are so focused on grades that they are too stressed to truly enjoy the most exciting parts of college. It’s always important to relax and take advantage of the fun opportunities that Waco has to offer. Here is a list of must-do’s before you complete your freshman year at Baylor!
- Visit Magnolia Market and buy something from the bakery.
- Toss tortillas off the suspension bridge and hope to find a spouse.
- Play an intramural sport and bring home a victory.
- Go to the club, Austin’s on the Avenue, and dance the night away.
- Study at Common Grounds and drink a delicious cup of coffee.
- Eat an enormous pancake from Café Cappuccino.
- Go to a frat party at least once.
- Wake up early and watch the sunrise at Cameron Park.
- Grab your cowboy boots and go country dancing on a Friday night.
- Eat chips and queso from Fuego at 3 AM.
- Have a picnic and hammock at Fountain Mall after classes.
- Take a picture in front of the Alico building downtown.
- Go to Lover’s Leap at Cameron Park (even if you’re single).
- Take an exercise class at the SLC with your friends.
- Stand in the bear pit at a Baylor basketball game.
- Participate in the Diadeloso activities.
- Visit the Cameron Park Zoo and see all of the cute animals.
- Watch a free movie at the Waco Hippodrome Theatre on a Monday night.
- Go to Sing and Stompfest and cheer on your friends.
- Yell “Sic’em” as much as possible!!
