A #Basic Guide To Making This The Best Fall Ever

Ahh, fall. Every girl's favorite season, whether she'll openly admit it or not. The weather is perfect for oversized- sweaters and leggings. Bath & Body Works has released all of their best candles. People everywhere are about to hear more "I can't even's" than they even knew were possible.

Here are 15 steps to help you have the best fall, like, ever.

1. Break out the infinity scarves. You might get a little chilly when you go to the fair, don't you think?

2. Buy three more pairs of booties—you'll need every shade of brown so your outfits don't clash.

3. Make sure you update your hair with the latest trend. If you haven't experimented with balayage yet, try it. If you're a real go-getter, you could even try the new "gray blonde" thing.

4. Include the leaf emoji in the caption of every picture you post on Instagram.

5. Now that Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte is "too basic for you," switch to the Salted Caramel Mocha.

6. If your budget is too tight to afford a $6 coffee every day, just buy some apple cider drink mix from Walmart and put it in your favorite decorative mug.

7. You definitely don't have enough piko tops or oversized sweaters. Pretty much any boutique nearby is fully stocked, though, so there's no need to fret. If you're working with the budget I spoke of in the previous step, department stores like Forever 21 also have a wide variety of all of the comfy clothes you dream of.

8. Or leggings. You also don't have enough leggings. Go to literally any clothing store and you're guaranteed to find at least five different pattens/colors/fabrics to choose from. Oh, and for the colder days—fleece-lined leggings are a thing. And they're great.

9. Also, you need some more knit socks/headbands. You may as well splurge on a couple more things after buying booties, sweaters, leggings, and scarves.

10. That dark lipstick you saw at Sephora yesterday? Go back and get it.

11. Basically just leave your television on ABC Family, because Halloween movies are on almost every day.

12. Find a boy that will watch all of those movies with you. It isn't called cuddle season for nothing!

13. Your nails are starting to scream, "We need help!" You should consider one of the rich shades of reds, purples, and greens that models flaunted during fashion week.

14. Put on all of your new clothes and get ready to flaunt your fall look at the fair. Or the pumpkin patch. Or the apple festival. Or the sunflower field down the road. Or the bonfire your friends are having. Or all of it. (Definitely all of it.)

15. Another activity to be on the lookout for—football Saturdays, specifically in the South. Choose an SEC team to affiliate yourself with and become a die-hard fan of them. You may not have ever stepped foot on its campus, you may not actually understand the game, but you must pretend you're on that field, by golly.

So there you have it. Either follow these steps to be like every other girl this fall, or just read them so you can be on the lookout for the basic things girls will do in the next couple of months. Whatever the case, though, here's to the best season of the year!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
