It's that weird time of the year where we're just waiting for Spring Break.

These sites are some of my favorites and they're some that you'll enjoy regardless of what type of person you are — whether you're a bookworm or a horror lover, whether you're into geeky gadgets or looking for some place to showcase your passions, this list has got all that you need.

1. TedTalks

TED is a site filled with awesome videos of awesome people giving awesome lectures on a range of topics from technology and science to education and entertainment to business and design. Even Monica Lewinsky has a Ted Talk about her involvement with Bill Clinton and the huge scandal that followed afterwards and how she's moved on with her life afterwards. You can learn about anything and everything, and the lectures are never boring. Here are my top three favorites to check out if you're interested:

I Got 99 Problems…Palsy Is Just One by Maysoon Zayid, a story of a young woman who has cerebral palsy but has been able to turn her pain into comedy and has met a lot of famous people through comedic ventures; This Is What Happens When You Reply To Spam Email by James Veitch, in this talk a man describes exactly what happens when you reply to a spam email by showcasing his own experience over several months — it'll not only make you laugh out loud, but also make you want to reply to any spam emails you may receive (but don't actually share any other contact info or send them any money); and The Game That Can Give You 10 Extra Years Of Life by Jane McGonigal who after being bedridden by a severe concussion and dealing with depression, came up with an idea to help people live longer. It's a game you play on your phone that actually gives you the motivation to keep living and also strengthens your brain as well. It's an excellent idea and the video is also really worth watching.

And after watching these awesome videos, if you're interested or been inspired to become a Ted Talker yourself, you have the opportunity to do so by nominating yourself or someone else. You can even organize a local Tedx event, or go see them live and in person by searing for events near you on a generated map. This is a site that's definitely worth checking out if you wanna learn something new or in need of a laugh, or are looking for inspiration in something.

2. After College

Almost done with college and onto looking for a career? Well, After College is the site for you. You might still have another semester to go, but it's still a good idea to get ahead on the search. After College provides students with great entry-level job opportunities — for free! — based on your university, major and grad year. After you've done that, you are given a list of jobs and companies hiring that have previously hired students from your university with the same major. You can also tailor certain jobs that match your interest by clicking on green smiley faces or red frowny faces. This also provides scholarships that might be available to you based on your major, as well as blog posts and articles that might interest you. There are even opportunities for you to work at your own university in different departments. So, what are you waiting for? Try it out and start your future today!

3. Awesome Inventions

Awesome Inventions is an awesome site that gathers the coolest, weirdest, funniest and smartest inventions and puts it all together in one place for your entertainment. They also source the cheapest places you can buy those products from. The list is endless and there's even a weekly giveaway where you can win any of the cool inventions. So, check it out.

4. This Is Why I'm Broke

This Is Why I'm Broke is like Awesome Inventions and includes a lot of awesome products that will literally make you broke. They've got some things that you'd probably show off to your friends like a Star Wars Sun Reflector and they've got things that can actually make your life easier like the Solar Powered Window Phone Charger. There are lots more great stuff waiting for you at this awesome site, so why not check it out?

5. Riveted Lit

Do you love books and are always searching for the next great read on the Internet? Are you tired of constantly searching through reader's reviews or waiting for a new release to show up at your local library or bookstore? Well, look no more! Riveted Lit is a site where you get a week or so to read certain books (yes, that's books with a plural!). They're all YA and sometimes it's new reads and sometimes it's ones that are a few years old. For some books you can read the whole book, for some, you only get to read an excerpt and that's like a few chapters. They also have giveaways a few times a year where you can win a stack of books or a new book and some swag. Right now, they're having a End of 2016 MEGA Book Giveaway which you can enter into win 12 new YA reads. Right now, they have 13 full books you can read for free until the end of Dec. And I'm sure by the start of the new year, they'll have a ton more ready for your reading eyes. So, get on down there and start reading!

6. The Lineup

Do you have a fascination for criminals and psychopaths (but aren't one yourself, hopefully) and have researched convicts like the Zodiac Killer or Jeffrey Dahmer trying to figure out the reason behind their madness or what their past lives had been like before they turned towards the life of crime? Well, The Lineup is a site where you'll get to find out all that information and more. Serial killers, criminals, drug dealers, horror houses, the truth about the Amityville Horror house, missing persons, the creepiest towns, haunted hospitals, strange deaths, the list is endless. Besides articles, the site also recommends movies and tv shows, books and podcasts to keep you further entertained. So check it out and who knows you might even have your own stories to share.

7. Lifehacker

Life is hard. We've all been in a situation where we needed to get a job done but we didn't have enough time or had limited resources, and then that job took longer, and you do it the hard way, or it cost a lot and having to pay for a small task is never fun. What you needed then was a life hack. A life hack is a simple, inexpensive trick, shortcut, skill, or novelty method that increases productivity and efficiency and lowers cost, time waste, and energy. Lifehacker is a weblog that posts such life hacks and help you, well, hack life and all the crazy problems you may face. The site is updated about 18 times each weekday and is even available internationally. They have hacks ranging from fixing up your home (like cleaning your toilet with Coca-Cola), food hacks (such as deseeding a pomegranate the easy way) in health benefits (such as How Long to Nap for the Biggest Brain Benefits), and even math hacks. There are so many unique ways to do something and lifehacker has all of those ways and more. So, check 'em out and get your life together.

You can create your dream home or homes. You can also create collections which is like a big collection of clothes, pictures, models, etc. And finally, you can create a template using different box shapes and designs and after publishing them, other users can use them when creating a collage or a set. So start hearting and create your own fanbase.

10. StumbleUpon

If you've gone through this whole list and found some new favorites and are interested in finding more, StumbleUpon is the site for you. StumbleUpon is already a pretty popular site, but for those who don't know about it, it's a site where you get the chance to literally stumble upon a new site. After creating an account, you can set up your preferences, as in what you are interested in such as music or sci-fi, horror films or fun facts and StumbleUpon will curate a random site that matches your interests. Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
