Control Freak: A person who feels an obsessive need to exercise control over themselves and others and to take command of any situation.

1. You're the mom in your friend group.

When your group heads out for a fun night downtown, you will be the one always making sure everyone is ok. You're the first one to pick someone up if they need a DD, and youre always prepared for the worst.

2. You think you can change people.

Your logic is if they would just change a few things about themselves you would be happy. You believe it is your duty to "fix them."

3. You don't believe in imperfection and you don't think anyone else should either.

Whether this is refering to relationships or just life in general, control freaks don't deal with crap. They will paint an image in there head on how things should go, and if they dont go that way, you've more than likely lost their interest.

4. You're so good at the silent treatment it's actually scary.

For example, if someone were to act in a certain way to make you mad, sometimes the best thing to say is nothing. You believe this is a better response then completely blowing up, plus it gives the other person time to think over their actions.

5. You have to know where you stand with people, at all times.

You have a problem with ambiguity, and not always knowing everything. In the mind of a control freak, everything is black and white, plain and simple. There is no time for grey area.

Even though control freaks can seem a bit overbearing, they do have some awesome benefits to being as crazy as they are. For example, control freaks are always in control of their thoughts. They won't allow any distractions to get in the way; which in turn means they actually execute their plans rather than just dreaming about them. Control freaks don't wait for things to happen, they make them happen.

So ya, Control Freaks are just... freaks. But hey, might as well embrace it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
