Apple Announcement Recap

The Apple Watch

It's already doing so much to help the users live a better day. I think it's unnecessary ... but that's because I'm a broke college student. However, you can do a lot with it:

1. The Apple Watch is helping people work out and stay on task (much like a Fitbit is designed to do). Customers rave about the perks of knowing their steps of the day, heart rate, and other health features the watch offers.

2. Siri allows you to respond to text messages and emails, and even just get directions simply by holding the watch up to your mouth and voicing whatever it is you would like her to help you with, which is helping with hands off technology.

3. Apple Pay is as simple as holding your watch up to the machine when you check out, no more fumbling around with cards.

New Features

Here are some exciting features to look forward to as the innovation of the technology of the Apple Watch continues to Watch OS2 (Available September 16):

1. "Third Party Complications" which is a fancy way of saying you can see all the important stuff on the face of the watch just by glancing at it, such as a combination of the latest and most important news, your airline departure time, and any other information you chose for it to show.

2. "Transit." THIS IS HUGE. They're adding this to Maps, which is fantastic, because public transportation on Apple Devices up until this point has been non-existent. If you're like me, and need to know which bus is going where and when it'll be there, this will help a ton. AND it'll be available across the board of Apple Devices, not just the watch.

3. "Time Travel" allows you to spin the knob on the side of the watch to check out what the day has in store later, such as meetings or plans you have put into your calendar, even the weather for later that day and sunset/sunrise. All important and necessary stuff all with the twist of a button. Neat.

4. Developers have created over 10,000 Apple Watch Apps, and that's not stopping any time soon. iTranslate allows you to speak into the watch and see and hear what you desire to be translated. Another big one is GoPro, now you can use the Apple Watch as a viewfinder which is ideal, because again it's hands off. These are just a few of the best.

5. Style - becoming a huge thing for the watch so that everyone can express their individuality and Apple is working with companies to expand their designs and most of them will be available in November 2015.

The iPad

This device is the clearest expression of Apple's future of computing. In just five years iPad has transformed the way the world creates, learns, and work.

The biggest news in iPad, since the iPad: The iPad Pro.

1. Bigger display screen, allowing the things that you do, watch, and play to be seen really clearly that you can't do with an iPhone. 12.9 inches, to be exact. 2732 x 2048 pixels, that is 5.6 million pixels for a beautiful display.

2. Ten hour battery life, and a 4 speaker audio sequence which balances frequencies depending on how your holding the iPad, and is very close to the size of the iPad air in width, but also is about the same weight as the first iPad but has 78 percent more surface area to display.

3. "Smart Keyboard" allows people to attach it wirelessly to a physical keyboard to type on. The "Apple Pencil" allows you to draw and illustrate on the display is an incredible invention to help people feel like they are truly creating exactly how they would by physically.

There is so much more about the iPad Pro that simply can't be recapped. At the bottom of this article will be a link to the Apple Announcement video so that you can look into each of these elements in more detail if you do so choose.

Apple TV

The latest and greatest watching experience:

1. You can search iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, and others to see what you're looking for exactly when you simply press a button and speak to your TV.

2. You have access to pretty much everything there is on your iPhone, Apple Watch, or iPad Pro on your Apple TV as well, such as iTunes for movies and TV shows, Photos, Music, and even the App Store.

3. Siri is helping big time, if you don't want to search for something on your own, you can simply speak to your TV and move to whatever it is that your looking for. There were some amazing examples in the presentation on the video. Such as, looking for the Modern Family episode with Edward Norton in it and Siri found that episode and highlighted it in the matter of seconds. A beautiful thing is during the playback of a show you can simply swipe to move forward and backwards in the show, as well as using Siri to take you back and forth by simply saying something such as skip a head 7 minutes. If you ask Siri what someone just said, Siri will go back seconds into the show and even throw on captions temporarily for you to know what she's saying.

4. You can narrow your search by any command, such as directors, actors, date, and even age rating.

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

iPhone 6 has taken the standard of smart phone to a whole new level, but how do you go beyond that you may ask, well with the 6s is what Apple did.

1. It comes in four different new metal finishes such as silver, gold, space grey, and rose gold. Another great feature is a new glass that is stronger then the last. Big plus is Apple is taking multi-touch to a whole new level which is "3D Touch".

2. 3D Touch is amazing, it now recognizes force of a touch, which allows you to do so much. You can use shortcuts to the things that you do the most frequently. It gives you a peak of whatever it is that you're trying to see, and if you want to open it further you can then hit it again which will take you exactly where you would like to go. So basically you can dip in and out of where you are without losing the context of your intention. In the Apple Announcement video, if you skip to about an hour and a half in, it will go into great detail about the touch sensors of the new iPhone 6s.

3. Introducing the 2nd generation iTouch, making it even faster and more simple to touch to unlock your phone. 2x faster then the last one.

4. 12 megapixel, iSight Camera which is 50 percent more pixels then before without taking away from the quality of the image, they've basically given their iSight camera an amazing sensor, in such a tiny place which is extremely difficult to do. At an hour and 43 minutes into the video of the Apple Announcement video you can not only see the photos the camera takes, but more information on the sensor if you're interested. Here is a photo with the new camera, showing how accurate the skin tones are while still keeping the natural vivid colors, and even the depth of field is pretty magnificent for a camera of this size.

5. You can take stunning photos, that come to life. "Live Photos" allows you to take a photo and then if you press and hold you can see the movement that was happening while you took the photo, including sound. You don't do anything different to take a "Live Photo", you can simply take the picture as you usually do, but if you want to see the live photo, you can go back and press on it to see the capture moment, it doesn't take very much room, and it's still a photo, it's simply just taking a second before and after the photo. This is happening across the board, and not just on the iPhone, but on all Apple Devices. Facebook is even in on the deal, allowing you to see "Live Photos" as well within this year.

6. Everything is stronger then it has been, and made of the most recyclable materials known to mankind. Guess what: it's the same price as the iPhone 6 and 6 plus. SAME EXACT PRICE with all of these very new things. Neat.

Apple is pretty much dominating the world, as it has ever since it started, and these advancements are pretty incredible. It's just some of the highlights from the 2 hour Apple Announcement from September 9, 2015. You can find that video here:

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
