It's only August and I'm already exhausted by this election. Remember when we all laughed at Donald Trump throwing his hat in the ring to run for president? Yeah, the joke is over. Trump has been confirmed as the Republican nominee.

Even if you don't think that Hillary Clinton could do a better job than Trump as President of the United States, read on. No human could be better? Well then, here are some animals that would definitely do a better job than Donald Trump as president.

1. Butler Blue III A.K.A. Trip

Lots of love and lots of slobber. Trip launched his presidential campaign with Georgetown Jack last year, but for some reason it hasn’t taken off with anyone outside of the Butler Bubble. Turkey Leg Tuesday would become a national holiday and hopefully President Trip could keep from drooling all over the Oval Office.

2. Stubbs, the mayor of the town of Talkeetna, Alaska

Oh look, a cat with more political experience with Donald Trump. Allegedly the town didn’t like any of the candidates enough to want to vote for them, so they staged a write-in campaign to hire Stubbs for the job. Not a fan of either Hillary or Trump? Here is your solution.

3. Lulu, the Pot-Bellied pig who saved her owner’s life.

Would Donald Trump go out of his way to save anyone’s life? Probably not. Remember last week when he said that he’s always wanted a Purple Heart, but being gifted with one was a much easier way to get one?

4. Literally any of the dogs who starred in the "Air Bud" Movies

A reality TV star is running for presidents. Why not a movie star? We’ve elected one before.

5. Koko the Gorilla

Born in California, this famous gorilla is highly intelligent and able to communicate with her handlers. Surely she will say less offensive or politically incorrect things than Trump already has.

6. A Donkey

Of course, if Trump is elected president, we will have a donkey in office.
