Anheuser-Busch is a beer powerhouse that has gained household recognition primarily for the wide variety of beverages that they produce. No matter what there is always a beer for everyone. College kids: Busch Light, the dieting crowd: Michelob Ultra, the summertime crew: Landshark, Trendy 20 year olds: Shock Top, Americans: Budweiser. However, this past week Anheuser-Busch did something that no other company has stepped up to do. Because of this, Anheuser-Busch has worked to save the lives of hundreds, if not thousands and for that, they deserve recognition.
The news has been covering the devastating storms that have plagued the Mid-west in the past week. Floods have torn through towns, and dozens of lives have already been lost. In an effort to aid those affected by these tragedies, Anheuser-Busch has halted all beer production at their Georgia brewery this week to produce cans of water as opposed to beer. As of now, 50,000 cans of water are on their way to those in need in Texas and Oklahoma thanks to a partnership created with Anheuser-Busch and the Red Cross.
Many have been displaced, injured, or killed by these storms. Keep your thoughts and prayers with those being so tragically affected by these storms...Especially because they look to be extending into this upcoming week.
