First, on behalf of those who do NOT side with Mr. Trump, I am so sorry that you were subjected to his unkindness, school-yard bullying tactics and general unpleasantness. I'm sorry that Trump is leading in the polls. I wish more people would stop focusing on him and see all of you left behind for what Trump considers trash. It's disgusting and vile and, unfortunately, a picture of where the U.S. is at right now.
I'm sorry that he see's physical disability as something that can be openly mocked. I'm sorry if he mocked you because of your race, skin color, religious belief, physical appearance, gender or physical abilities. I'm sorry if he was rude to you in public or on national television. I'm sorry if he tweeted mean and crass things about you. I'm sorry if he made fun of someone that was like you and thus indirectly mocked you, as well. I'm sorry there are those who think his comments are okay. I'm sorry there are those who think his remarks are perfectly forgivable and mean nothing.
I'm sorry that Americans aren't in the place to see that these comments are a reflection of Trump's heart. I'm sorry that there are people who didn't listen to their parents when they told them to judge a person not by how they treat their equals, but their inferiors. I'm sorry for the way he is.
I hope and pray that you didn't take his comments to heart. I hope and pray that you have thick skin. I hope and pray that you know that you are greatly loved and valued by so many, even those you have never met. I hope that you know that there are people not here to judge you by your gender, race, skin color, or physical appearance. I hope that for every Donald Trump in your life, you have one hundred kind, caring, loving people around you.
This is a very crucial time in America and our world, and I'm sorry that you fell to the wayside. I don't know what will happen to you and countless others if Mr. Trump becomes president. I can hope and pray that he will change and no longer make such harsh and cruel comments, but this is something that is unlikely. I can tell you that if Mr. Trump does become president, I will do everything in my power to help make sure he is not re-elected.
I pray that someone, who respects fellow humans no matter what they look like or who they are, comes into power soon.
Know that no matter what happens in the coming months, I stand with you.
I am so sorry that Trump tried to knock you down.
Stand proud, whoever you are, and know that there are those standing with you.
