Dear me,
Life is extremely confusing. That's all I can say. It felt okay to be a little lost on your own path in middle and high school. That was okay at that time. People always reassured you that you have your whole life to find yourself. You, on the other hand, were expected to have it planned out once you got to college. Plot twist, you still have no idea what the hell you're doing.
You always try to see life in a positive light and that's great. You have great friends, a supportive family and so many opportunities to find out who you are and what you love. But I can still sense the fear in your heart and I can still see the worry in your eyes for the present, not to mention the future.
You think you know what you want to do with your life, but at the same time you don't have a single clue. You know who you are in your faith and in yourself and that's great. You still find yourself questioning things that should have a simple answer. Don't freak out. This doesn't mean that everything you aspire to be and the incredibly strong faith you have in God is crumbling out of your life.
You're still learning. You're still growing. At 18 (almost 19) years old, why should you have anything figured out? Heck, you're just trying to survive without your moms delicious home cooked meals. You've just flocked the nest and are still learning to fly on your own. It's still okay to be exploring, learning and blossoming into who you're truly supposed to be.
Neither of us want to see your life consumed with worry and fear, but with optimism and hopefulness. You are destined for great things, you just need to believe in yourself. In the meantime, have lots of snacks and enjoy the ride of life.
Sincerely,
Yourself
