We can't all be Wonder Woman and save the day 20 times in one week, but somehow moms manage to do just that.
Dear Mom,
Thank you for making the world a better place. So many little things you do every day that you may think go unappreciated, don't. You're the person I can call with 37 questions about school, life, and relationships, and you never get tired of talking to me about it repeatedly. (Or you're really good at pretending that you don't!) You help me anytime I ask, and sometimes you help me before I even have to ask. Somehow you always know.
Thank you for being my best friend when I didn't have anyone else. You've been by my side, fiercely loyal, since day one. When I had a broken heart, you told me that that person didn't deserve my time or attention anyways, and made me actually believe it. You give me solid advice whenever I need it about other people in my life, and it's always paid off when I take it.
Thank you for being a great mom, even when it was difficult. You've never been the type that could deal well with loose teeth and the stomach flu, but you always did it anyways. I also learned the value of putting someone else's needs before your own, which a lot of people don't do anymore.
Thank you for showing me how to be a professional in the business world. I watched you go to college and become a powerful woman in your company, and it's made a world of difference to me as I pursue my career. You've always emphasized education and the value of making smart decisions, while still being beautiful and confident.
Thank you for believing in me, while still making me be realistic. You always see the signs when a career, a relationship, or a class is getting me down or just not working out right, and you've always helped me to make the right decision about it. You've taught me the value of having realistic and achievable goals, instead of letting me walk with my head in the clouds and make poor life decisions. You believe in my aspirations, and time and time again you've given me advice and personally helped me to achieve them.
Thank you for pushing me to be more than I ever thought possible, and not letting me give up when I wanted to. I never would have gotten this far without you. You've been my rock, my inspiration, and my role model.
Thank you for loving my dad the way you do. You taught me how to love, how to treat the person I'm with, and how to deal with problems. You also showed me that marriage isn't supposed to be perfect, but that it can still be magical. If only you'd stop kissing like teenagers in front of me to gross me out.
Thank you for being you. No other mom could have helped me grow into the person I am today, and I appreciate and love you for that.
