We did not realize we were making memories; we just knew we were having fun!
"Aiyeeee Man!"
Dear New Friend,
It has often been said that the friends you meet in college are the friends you have for life. Although you are leaving, I still believe this is true. During the duration of the school year, we have shared countless laughs, pointless arguments, and tears from stress. Through all of it, I never stopped to thank you. You may not realize it, but you have had more of a positive impact on my life than you say I have had in yours.
Thank you for the countless laughs. Whether laughing to keep from crying, butchering the fight song, or laughing at each other's childhood stories, each laugh made my day.
Thank you for being my friend even though you never know which mood I would be in on any given day. Thank you for turning all of my bad days upside down.
Thank you for reminding me that you'll never have another friend like me, neither do you want one.
And most importantly, Thank you, making me realize the value of life and to cherish everyone and everything.
I may meet many friends along the way, but none will ever possess the vibrant energy and humor that you brought to my life. I will never forget your countless failed attempts at using "New Orleans" lingo. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Even though you are going to be 2,000 miles away, you will always have a friend in me. Keep in touch and be sure to tell "Ya mama nem" I said, "Thank you for sending you our way!"
Sincerely,
Your Grateful Friend
