Dear old friends;
I'm sorry we don't talk anymore and I'm sorry we moved on. We had good times and perhaps we thought our friendship would last forever but unfortunately it didn't. We changed and things changed. Change is an inevitable part of life that can be for better or worse. We all change at some point in our life and we move on, leaving some people behind. What hurts the most is that we thought we were going to be friends forever and that our good times would never come to an end but life is crazy.
My intention has never been to forget about you. You should know that I haven't forgotten about any of you. Look at it this way; life is a train journey and people get on and off at every station. A few people are there the whole ride from beginning to end, and others are just waiting to get off at their station. You made my ride fun and enjoyable even if it was for a short amount of time and I know that if I ever need to go back you'll be there. Somehow you contributed to making me the person I am today.
I hope you know that even though we don't talk anymore you can always count on me. No matter where I am I'll always be on social medias. As I write this letter I look at pictures of us on Facebook and it's good to know that we have proof of the good times we shared. Proof that will always be there. For some reason I'm certain that we will see each other again maybe sooner than we think. I hope I can count on you too.
Don't forget me, just like I won't forget you either. Remember the smiles we shared and the tears we shed. Remember all the movies that we watched and all the food we ate. I'm sorry if it was my fault that we drifted apart but please know that it was never my intention, and I know it wasn't your intention either.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing I hope you are doing well and that you are happy with the person you've become because you deserve to be happy. I also hope you are making people around you happy just like you made me happy. I'm just one message away if you want to talk.
Well, my dear old friends, that's all I have to say. I can only hope you feel the same way. Don't take people for granted, enjoy their company and love them. Enjoy the ride, perhaps they will stay until the end.
"If you have children someday, when they point to the pictures please tell them my name"
With love;
Ana Lucia
P.S: I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.
