You’re one of the greatest blessings in my life.

Dear best friend,

Whenever I think about how long we’ve been friends, it makes my heart fill with happiness. You have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. We basically grew up together, and then started our lives together. One day we were playing kickball at the playground, and the next day we were talking about college together. God definitely knew what he was doing when he put you in my life, and I’m so blessed to say you’re still my best friend.

Our memories together are ones I will never forget. From walking around the neighborhood for hours, to going on vacations, to just driving around, we always have some of the best times together. Sometimes we will spend the whole time messing around, others will be times where we have deep conversations about life. No matter what we’re doing or where we are, there is never a dull moment with you. That is something about our friendship I will forever cherish.

Throughout the years, you have always been there when I needed you. You have always been there to offer advice, to listen when I needed to vent, and to provide comfort in times it was needed. There was never a moment that I doubted your ability to cheer me up, because no matter what the situation you always knew how to make me feel better. Somethings never change, because still to this day I can always go to you when I need someone.

Now, we’re both college students and we don’t talk much, we barely see each other, and our schedules seem to conflict, but you’re still my best friend. No matter how much time passes before we’re able to see each other, no matter how long we’ve gone without talking, I know our friendship remains the same. Distance plays a huge role in failing friendships, but that will never happen to us.

No matter where life takes us you’re always going to be my best friend. You’re always going to be the one I confide in when things are rough. You’re going to be the one I call when I have exciting news. You’re going to be known as family to my future children. You’re going to forever be my person.

Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for dealing with me for all of these years. I don’t know what I would do without you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
