You don't have to wait for October to watch the new season of "American Horror Story". In fact, the season premiere will be shown on Wednesday, September 14 on FX. Now, the season has been quite a mystery for the last few months, and little information is known about the upcoming show, but below are some bits of information that'd be great to know before watching the show.
1. Multiple trailers are potential themes
There are many teaser trailers surrounding the new season. Some aim towards a "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" theme, while some aim towards classical vampire movies. One clip in particular actually replicates a similar scene from the 1922 horror film "Nosferatu", in which the creature Noseferatu creeps up the stairs, audiences only seeing his shadow. So what's the theme this year? In an interview with FX President John Landgraf, he confirmed that many of the trailers released are in fact potential seasons. The trailer and logo for season six is even shown to have a question mark designed into the number, in order to show the mysteriousness of the new season. Will audience be getting one theme this year, or many? In a recent interview, Landgraf confirmed that at least one of the trailers is spot on with the upcoming theme.
2. Gaga and Leslie Jordan Return
Fans may recognize Leslie Jordan from the third season of "American Horror Story", as he played Quentin, one of the council members. Now, with being absent in the last two seasons, Jordan returns for a sixth and mysterious new season. Also, it has been confirmed that the Queen of Pop herself, Lady Gaga, will be part of the cast and crew this year.
3. "Croatoan"
From the first season, the legend of Croatoan is shared with audiences as a spell that banished the spirits of the lost colony of Roanoke. In reality, there actually was a colony in North Carolina that did vanish, the only evidence were the words "Croatoan" carved onto a tree. Earlier this year TMZ leaked photos of the American Horror Story set and took pictures of what looked to be colonial homes, as well as a tree with the words "Croatoan" carved. Many fans have believed that the season will indeed involve the Roanoke colony of spirits, or many flashback scenes will involve them. Only time will tell.
5. New trailers are slightly terrifying
Although some of the teaser trailers are all different and unique, some are simply freaky and disturbing. Below is a recent trailer that was released just this week of August.
The new season of "American Horror Story" is highly anticipated for September 14th. All audiences can do now is simply rematch the previous seasons, and wonder what will be happening this upcoming seasons.
