Well, Bernie fans, it's over. Hillary Clinton officially has the number of delegates she needs to get the democratic presidential nomination. So now, in the battle between Trump and Clinton, many Americans have requested more time to "think about what [they've] done."
Some people consider this election to be karma for all the mistakes the nation has made in the past. "We understand that this is our fault," one voter explains. "We're the ones who got them this far in the running, and now we're facing the consequences."
Several other Americans have agreed that we as a country could really use some more time to think. Vote for Hillary? Vote for Trump? Vote for no one at all? Each option seems sadder than the one before.
"We honestly just wish there was another option," the same voter lamented. "You know, someone who wasn't really associated with either party."
"How about an independent party candidate?"
"A what?"
It is clear that the nation is running out of options. The majority of each major political party seems to hate their respective candidate. And there does not seem to be a word in the English language to describe the disdain that each party has for the candidate in the opposite party.
"All we can really do at this point is cry a little and hope we learn from our mistakes. We need to keep people who will be bad for our country out of the running for president, no matter how must their racist and sexist behavior appeals to us for some reason."
So it is a good idea to vote for your favorite candidate, whomever that may be. Even if you're not necessarily a fan of either nominee, there's got to be one that you'd want to be running the country just a little bit less. Vote for that one. Vote for the one that won't destroy life as we know it. If you don't vote at all, that'll just make it more likely that the person you don't want in office will be elected.
However, if Trump is your favorite candidate, I beg you to take just a little more time to think. Just a thought.
