Donald Trump was, yet again, in the news this week. I am sure you've heard why, but in case not, I'll give you the cliff notes version. A 2005 video surfaced which featured Trump speaking about women in incredibly vulgar terms. He talked about how he was "compulsively drawn" to kissing beautiful women, "like a magnet." He bragged that because he was a star, he could do basically anything to women, even "grabbing them by the p****."

I understand we all make mistakes. I can accept that we say things we don't mean, but we aren't running for president. Presidency, like medical school, takes a lot of planning and training. For doctors, it's a lot of schooling and practice. For presidency, it is a lot of campaigning, grooming yourself to be an acceptable representation of the Unites States of America, and a desire to do what is best for all of America.

I recall a few short months ago how enraged half of America was that we had transgender citizens using the bathrooms that corresponded with their gender. A huge (and quite frankly, ridiculous) concern was that the sisters, wives, daughters, and mothers of America would be assaulted using the same bathrooms as the transgendered community. So somehow, this was a concern, but Trump saying he will literally assault someone isn't? Why are we enraged about a legitimate every day citizen using the bathroom, but not about a presidential candidate condoning, probably participating in, sexual assault? Where is your concern for the women of America now?

Donald Trump effectively offends everyone equally, with the exception of white, middle-upper class, traditional America. And that's not what America is. We are a beautiful melting pot of culture, race, and ideas. This man is disgusting. He has not trained for presidency, and he is not groomed or fit to pursue it. He absolutely does not embody America or it's spirit. We live in a great country - it doesn't need to be made "great again" because honestly, our history is a little embarrassing anyway. We won't continue growing and making America great with Donald Trump leading us.
