All-Star Weekend 2017: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

We laughed, we cried, it's All-Star Weekend.

All-Star Weekend is always one of the most anticipated times during the NBA season because this is the only time we get to see a team of superstars play with and against another team of superstars.

This is the time when we get to see just how much fashion IQ our favorite basketball players actually have. However, if you're Russell Westbrook, you already know you're basically the Albert Einstein of fashion in the NBA world.

Let's get right into it. Here's some of the good, the bad, and the ugly from the first two days of All-Star Weekend 2017:

The Good

5. The Fashion

The Greek Freak showing his inner fashion sense, along with iconic rapper Chance the rapper.

Triple-doubles aren't the only thing that Russ is a master at #WHYNOT?

Even though he's rocking a tin man type of outfit, it don't look that bad on him.

The North is HERE!

Don't sleep on John Wall; whether it's on the court or his sense of fashion.

According to Russ, Shaq has his stamp of approval in fashion, and here we have a prime example #ShaqAttack.

4. DJ Khaled Makes A Bucket

Nope, I'm not lying to you. Here's the proof.

3. #SagerStrong

This was easily the most heartwarming moment of the entire weekend. Celebrities along with our professional basketball players stepped up in the challenge to raise $500,000 for the Sager Strong Foundation. #SagerStrongForever

2. Underdogs Takeover

Aside from the skills challenge, it was obvious who most people thought would win the three-point shoot-out and the dunk contest (Does Klay Thompson and Aaron Gordon ring a bell?)

Well, those bells were broken after these first-timers took home the chip:

Skills Challenge Winner: Kristaps Porzingis

Three-Point Shoot-out Winner:Eric Gordon

Dunk Contest Winner: Glen Robinson III

1. Derrick Jones Jr.

Now, even though he didn't win, you can just feel the intensity from this one photo. I think we are all Devin Booker in this. If you didn't feel this dunk in your heart, I don't know what to even tell you.

The Bad

4. Splash Brother With Not Enough Splash

The former three-point challenge champion wasn't able to get into his usual rhythm, getting knocked out of the first-round with a score of 18. Though this was a shocker to practically everyone in the sports world, there's still no doubt Klay is one of the best catch-and-shoot players. Don't @ me.

3. Other Splash Brother Not Splashing

Unfortunately, Chef Curry couldn't get cooking with this one. If you're curious, it went a little something like this.

2. Aaron Gordon

After all the hypes and interviews about Gordon's return for revenge, he found himself struggling early on, missing 3 attempts in a row, and couldn't quite shake it off. But hey, we can give him some brownie points for the drone idea.

1. DJ Khaled and Miami

I don't think anyone had the heart to tell him that he was actually in New Orleans... He sounds pretty serious, don't you think?

The Ugly

Now there were only two things that were ugly about this weekend. And if you follow up with the NBA and all it's drama, I think you already know what two things I'm about to mention:

2. New Team, Who Dis?

Now, I know the media has been playing out this story for the whole season, but cmon. Do you not feel the tension?

1. ......Same Team?....... Who Dis?

I guess you can say, it's been an awkward ASW for KD..

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
