A few months ago my morning routine looked like this: wake up exhausted, turn on the Keurig, feel unmotivated as I get ready for my day, make coffee, go to school/work, make another cup of coffee, nod off in class/work, and barely get through the day.

Today I have a completely different routine and it looks like this: wake up feeling motivated for the day, get ready for school/work, stir up my Advocare's Spark drink mix, head out for my day feeling happy and motivated.

You may wonder, what does this amazing drink do for you? It helps you stay awake, focused, and keeps you happy. Here are a few reasons why I can't live without Spark:

1. I don't have to make coffee after coffee to stay awake.

I usually only have one cup of Spark a day and that keeps me awake all day. Some days I may have one in the afternoon. Either way, it has been a lifesaver. No naps, no nodding off when I need to pay attention, and no refilling that cup multiple times a day. I'm always feeling wide awake.

2. It's known as "happy juice".

I remember having many down days before Spark came along. I've noticed I'm a lot more upbeat, happy, and optimistic about my day. Some days I just want to jump with excitement even if it's a small accomplishment.

3. There are some pretty tasty flavors.

Pink Lemonade, Fruit Punch, Limeade, Grape, and many more. All these flavors make it hard for me to decide which flavor to buy. I guess it's never a bad idea to stock up and just have all of the flavors to choose from each morning.

4. It makes me feel a lot healthier.

There are so many great nutrients. This automatically makes me feel healthy and confident, which helps with the happiness and motivation. It's just an overall great drink, that's all I can say.

5. The best part, it keeps me focused and motivated all day long.

With a full and busy day, I need to stay focused. Drinking Spark does just that and helps me get through the long day. I continue to look forward to the next day and it's easier to remind myself that each day is a fresh start.

It might sound cheesy, but Spark truly has changed my life. It has turned it around for the better. I'm constantly working hard and thinking about how I can improve in my life. I don't think about my day as "just getting through it" anymore. I feel more present and in the moment, and I have Spark and Advocare to thank for that.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
