Many were devastated by the news that Romney will not be running in the 2016 presidential campaign, but never fear, we have a guy that will trump them all. Speculation is circulating that Donald Trump will make another run in the coming presidential campaign.
When you think of Donald Trump two of the main things that will pop in your head are his money and his ever famous terrible hair -- not politics. Trump is a conservative Republican and has recently started stirring speculation that he will file papers for the next presidential campaign. No need for Trump to get big donors, he can just fund it himself, if he has to.
Why does Trump even want to run? According to abcnews.com Trump said, “There are so many things that I see in this country, whether it’s common sense or whatever. And I have a really big voice. I have, you know, millions and millions of followers on Twitter and Facebook. And when I say something some people don’t like it, but most people do like it.”
Recently Trump spoke on certain issues that seem to be platforms he could use for a campaign. One of which was immigration. He mentioned in a recent speech that his plan, if he were to become the next president, would be to build a fence across the entire United States border. Many would argue that this is not a sensible solution. Many immigrants can use tunnels and other means to jump this fence. Trump stated that while it would not completely solve the solution it certainly would help. He joked that he knew a thing or two about building things.
Trump also said that the national debt is a top concern for him and a strong motivating factor if he officially seeks a 2016 presidential campaign. One cannot argue that Trump could be very helpful in getting our country’s national debt back on track, seeing that Trump has proven himself very successful with business dealings.
This is not Trump's first time to throw his name in as a potential presidential candidate. Trump has previously done so and never was able to secure a nomination. While Trump may give it another go, it is likely that he will not receive a nomination for a presidential campaign. Trump would do best to stick with his television show, real estate, and, most importantly, his beauty pageants.
