There's just something about Tallahassee. The atmosphere of the entire town just revolves around Florida State University, and, well, can you blame it? FSU is basically the Disney World of colleges. Like most college towns, there are plenty of memorable things about the school that students and alumni will always remember.
A- Athletics
It's no secret that the athletics at FSU are amazing. From the football team, to the women's soccer team, to the men's basketball team, to the women's softball team, any sporting event is bound to be a good one.
B- Bobby Bowden
The man, the myth, the legend. Everyone in Tallahassee knows who Bobby Bowden is.
C- Circus
FSU is one of two schools in the country to have their own circus. The "Flying High" Circus puts on shows throughout the year that many students go to and enjoy.
D- Doak S. Campbell Stadium
Doak is the place to be on Saturdays in the fall. You have probably had some of the best times of your life here, whether you remember them or not.
E- Einstein Bros. Bagels
I know that a ton of schools have Einstein on their campus, but I just don't think I could survive college without their bagels and coffee.
F- FMC
Better known as the Health and Wellness Center, but this small gym is a personal favorite to many since it is never as crowded as the Leach.
G- Garnet and Gold Guys
Either you or one of your friends have most definitely taken a picture with these guys during a football game and plastered it all over social media.
H- Heritage Grove
Oh, Heritage. I think this one is self-explanatory.
I- Intramurals
The intramural sports here get pretty intense and are definitely a blast to play in.
J- Jimbo Fisher
The guy who led the FSU football team to winning the National Championship in 2013. Gotta love Jimbo.
K- Mrs. Killings
Walking into Suwannee and seeing Mrs. Killings is enough to brighten anyone's day.
L- Leach
Here you can find a bunch of frat guys tossing around weights like it's nothing and girls upstairs on every cardio machine.
M- Momo's Pizza
Definitely a staple in any self-respecting FSU student's diet. Where else can you get a slice of pizza that is bigger than your face?
N- Night Nole
The Night Nole saves students' lives by running from Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:30 p.m. through 3 a.m.
O- Osceola and Renegade
Our official mascots. When Chief Osceola and Renegade run out to midfield and spear the turf, tell me that isn't the greatest.
P- Pots
If you've never been to Pots, are you even an FSU student? It is literally a 90 second walk from campus, which makes it the perfect location. Whether it's purgatory or happy hour, Pots is always a go-to.
Q- Questionable Weather
The weather in Tally is crazy. One day it is 75 and sunny, and the next day, it is 50 and raining. You've got to be prepared for anything out here.
R- Rez
So many people don't take advantage of the FSU Rez who really should. If you're ever bored one weekend, definitely check out all that it has to offer.
S- Strozier Library
Club Stroz is right on Landis Green in the center of campus, and the sight of it alone guilts you into going and studying, because you just always see it.
T- Tallanasty
What many FSU students, and non-FSU students, refer to Tallahassee as due to the shenanigans that take place here.
U- Unconquered Statue
Located right outside of the stadium, this is another landmark of the university. The night before every home game, the spear is lit on fire, and remains lit until the morning after the game.
V- Valencia
You can't go a day without hearing someone say how they either studied at or going to study abroad in Valencia. This is probably one of the most popular destinations for FSU students to study abroad, but can you really blame them?
W- Westcott Fountain
This is what people picture when they think of Florida State. This is probably where you took pictures when you first toured the school in high school, and this is probably where you are going to take pictures when you graduate. This is also where you end up on your 21st birthday.
X- eXtra Cool People
Not a ton of words actually begin with X, but tons of people at FSU are eXtra cool. We'll go with it.
Y- Y-Bomb
Y-Bombs are a given on any night out. You can look around at any bar and see someone shot-gunning one. They're basically the epitome of Florida State. If you are unsure of what a Y-bomb is, the ever-credible source of Urban Dictionary has got you covered.
Z- Zombie Halftime Show
If you were at the 2015 homecoming game, then you (probably) remember the FSU Marching Chiefs performing "Thriller."
