9 Times Taylor Swift Songs Related To Life In College

Let's be honest, Taylor Swift songs related to life more than we'd like to admit. Whether we're walking to class or taking an exam, there's a song to relate to the moment. I can imagine myself singing these songs as each moment happens. Here's the top nine TSwift songs that almost every college student can relate to.

1. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

The day I left my freshman roommate behind, I imagined this song playing in the background. No one should be forced to room with a complete stranger for a whole year, especially when you don't get along. I've never felt more joy than the day she walked out of my life forever. Now I know TSwift was talking about her boyfriend, but I feel you girl.

2. "Shake It Off"

Sometimes we get some bad grades. We get a C instead of the A we were hoping for. There's nothing to do after receiving the grade but to shake it off. Take that exam from your professors hand and put it in the trash as you leave. Go out for some froyo and forget like it never happened. (Yes it is appropriate to play this song as you cry into your froyo bowl.)

3. "Mean"

I've had a few professors now that are the epitome of mean. Is it really necessary to have daily quizzes? Why are you going to make me buy the $300 textbook? Why you gotta be so mean Professors? I'm just trying to take this math class that the university requires even though I'm an art major.

4. "Fearless"

Walking in front of cars and not looking both ways makes me fearless. I look straight ahead and hope that I don't get hit. However, at the same time I want to get hit so that someone else can pay for my tuition. Either way, I feel totally fearless as I break all the street rules my mom taught me.

5. "The Story of Us"

My relationship with dining hall food looks a lot like a tragedy now. The story of me and the commons is not so pretty. Being a freshman and having to eat school food everyday was not fun. I ended up getting food poisoning five times that year, yet I kept going back. It was a real tragedy of a girl and school food.

6. "Bad Blood"

I've got a lot of bad blood with some people at college and they don't even know it. In particular, I have bad blood with the people who walk as slow as turtles to class while texting. When they finally bump into you, they shrug off a sorry. In my mind I'm thinking, "You say sorry just for show," as I put them on my list of people who've pissed me off.

7. "You Belong With Me"

I remember seeing this hot guy walk into my Chem class the first day and thinking he would be mine one day. Eventually I found out he had a girlfriend, but that never stopped me from thinking what TSwift sings about. There's always that one guy/girl in whatever class that has a significant other already, but deep down you know they belong with you.

8. "Mine"

The best thing that's ever been mine was definitely my twin sized bed that I could nap in all hours of the day. I was a love hate relationship, but it had more love than hate. My bed was perfection. I had two mattress toppers and a memory foam pad. After a long day of class, it was truly heaven to lay on.

9. "22"

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to be feeling 22. 22 means one thing: graduation. The most bittersweet year there is. Part of you is beyond ready to graduate, while the other part of you never wants to grow up. Either way you're feeling, 22 is a memorable year. Live it up like TSwift did!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
