It's late April and the semester is about to come to a close at Flagler. By next week, students will be back home (or still in St. Augustine) to begin their summer vacations. While a lot students work, many always use this time to watch TV, whether it be catching up on current series, binge watching one that has already ended, or even starting over with a completely new series.

For some, the struggle is being able to find something that they actually want to watch. In case you need some ideas on what to watch, here are some shows and programs that will be airing this summer.

Zoo (CBS)

Based off the book by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge, Zoo follows an unusual group of people who seek to find out why animals across the world are suddenly becoming violent. The show returns for its second season on June 28th.

NBA Playoffs (ABC)

Who will be the next team to win the Larry O'Brien trophy to become the 2016 NBA World Champions? Select games from the NBA playoffs will be aired on ABC with all of the NBA Finals games being aired on ABC as well.

Containment (CW)

New to the CW, Containment is about a quarantine that occurs in Atlanta after a dangerous virus was released into the general public. The first season started April 19th 2016 and new episodes will premiere into the summer.

The Night Shift (NBC)

Back for a third season on the peacock network, this medical drama will debut new episodes on June 1st.

Motive (USA)

This Canadian produced drama follows detective Angie Flynn who in each episode uses clues to figure out the murder of the victim shown in the beginning of the episode. The show’s third season began airing on USA in April and episodes will roll out through the summer.

America’s Got Talent (NBC)

Another season, another competition to see who has what it takes to win the million dollars and the headline show. But the new twist for this season…Simon Cowell’s a judge. The new season will begin airing on May 31st.

Wayward Pines (Fox)

Time to go back to the small town of Wayward Pines, when the show returns for its second season on May 25th.

2016 Rio Olympic Games (NBC)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
