Sweet girl, why do you doubt yourself? Why can you not realize how wonderful your existence is, when it is so apparent to everyone else? I wish that you could fully comprehend your worth. Until then dear, please remember these nine things.
1. You are smart — smarter than you’ll ever know.
Being smart isn’t getting a perfect GPA (though your GPA is impressive). Being smart is knowing what to spend your time on. You give your all to your friends and family. You live your life rather than exist and it is remarkable. You may end up with some bruises in the process, but it’s so damn beautiful regardless.
2. Being shy isn’t a bad thing.
Your voice is heard in the way you carry yourself. Your voice is the way you consistently treat the world around you with love. Your voice is your hope for a better tomorrow. Your voice is loud.
3. You are loved.
You do not realize the impact you have on people, but I promise you that they notice these things that I am telling you. They notice your smile, your wit, and the genuine heart that beats within you.
4. Let me just repeat myself. You are loved.
I know you. I know no matter how many times I tell you or how many lists I write, you probably will doubt all of these. If you believe anything on here. Believe that you are loved.
5. You are capable.
Your dedication is astonishing. You constantly work your ass off and it shows. Things weren’t just handed to you in life. You worked and worked to have everything you have. You should be proud of yourself. I have no doubt that if you want something, you will achieve it.
6. The strength that you process is amazing.
The way you face adversity and come out on top (not even realizing how effortless you make it seem) is amazing. You are stronger than the ups and the downs you have faced and the ones to come. You are stronger than the picture of yourself that you paint every day.
7. You are beautiful.
This may be the thing you will have the hardest time accepting. Your lips, your eyes, your cheeks, your smile, and everything even down to your nose ring could light up the darkest room. You are gorgeous and sexy and stunning and precious and all of the above. It is hard to find an adjective to describe the beauty that you possess.
8. You are worthy.
More so than your physical beauty, your heart is one of the most beautiful God has ever made. You constantly think that everyone else around you is prettier or whatever it may be. Let me tell you. You are worthy of respect. You are worthy of affection. You are worthy of all the love possible in this big world.
9. All of your dreams are going to come true.
