1. You study way harder than you think.
You know more than you think you do. Promise. In college, we are so scared that we are not as smart as we think we are because we are surrounded by students of all sorts—the know-it-alls, the “know-nothing/do it all the night before” freaks of nature, the overachieving library rats, and the always-stressed, over prepared kids. But you can do it. You’ve made it this far. Believe in yourself.
2. You’re beautiful and don’t give yourself any credit.
You look pretty without makeup. One of the biggest complements a friend gave to me was "you look the same without makeup" and it's true for everyone.
3. You are loved by so many people.
It's so easy to get carried away with the more pessimistic side of humanity-those rude people that cut you off in traffic or are rude to you over the phone, but if you always try to see the good in people, you can start to see the good in yourself. People see the good in you and you may not even notice.
4. There are people out there that are so proud of your accomplishments and you may not even know about it.
The times when you catch your mom bragging and exaggerating to your third cousin twice removed about how you getting a leadership position equivocates to being president of the country, you are slightly embarrassed at the inaccuracy but flattered by their overflowing affection and sense of pride in the littlest accomplishment.
5. People would beg for your youth—appreciate it while you can.
Whenever you're feeling down, just remember you're young and one day you will beg to be right where you are right now. You would have looked back and wished that you would've pranced around in your bikini without feeling self-conscious. You're young. Live like it.
6. You have so much on your plate, yet balance it with poise.
College calls you to be impeccably well-rounded in academics, working out regularly, eating healthy, getting involved, working, eating healthy, building your resume, and oh yeah-get enough sleep and don't drink too much coffee. It's an impossible balance and you have to make priorities while taking care of yourself. It's normal.
7. Your smile is intoxicating and contagious.
Please smile more. Everyone around you loves it. Who knows who's day you've made with that beautiful smile.
8. Anyone would be lucky to call you their significant other and you should settle for nothing less.
I know so many girls who let boys treat them like they're not worth a good, respectable guy. A guy should treat you like a princess because that is exactly what you are. Any boy who doesn't realize that is a complete waste of your time.
9. You are such a blessing to so many.
You are unique and your friends love your perks and quirks. Love what makes you YOU and never conform to something that is any less than the best form of yourself. Because you're pretty darn great and anyone would be blessed to be your friend.
Much love.
