8 YouTubers You Need To Subscribe To

For several months, I’ve been indulging in everyday life through the eyes of YouTubers. From beauty gurus and lifestyle videos to daily vloggers, I’ve learned to appreciate the complications of constantly filming your life, the constant need to film something worthwhile and also leaving time in your day to edit your work, one clip at a time. I used to visit YouTube just for music videos and pranksters, but it has become a lot more than that. I have found it wildly entertaining, and it has become a new replacement for Netflix. What I watch is real, attainable and, most of all, inspiring. Here are a few examples if you are looking for a time filler in your day.

1. Casey Neistat

Casey is a daily vlogger who lives in New York City. His vlogs contain amazing timelapses, inspiring life lessons and endearing snippets of his family. Not only is his life entertaining, he’s a talented filmmaker, as evidenced by every single vlog he creates. Casey started vlogging mainly to get word of his business out there to his viewers. Casey is the owner of the new app Beme, which has already taken the world by storm, and has only been out for a little over a week.

2. FunForLouis

Trying to figure out your next new adventure? Louis Cole, U.K. native, is a world traveler and daily vlogger. He films his adventures all over the world. From flying planes in Namibia to boating in Vietnam, he is wildly popular for his friendly attitude and desire to try new things. He is often found eating weird foods, and he is an avid coffee connoisseur. You won't be bored watching Louis and will often feel the need to drop all your plans and travel the world.

3. JacksGap

Brothers Jack and Finn Harries have gone from creating simple videos to creating admiring cinematography. They create content that makes most people view the world in a more sympathetic and beautiful way. The brothers have created a segment that attracts both film lovers and music enthusiasts alike. “Shed Sessions” is exactly what it sounds like. Small musicians make there way into a tiny shed in the Harries' English garden and perform songs that make listeners quickly fall in love.

4. Mr Ben Brown

Ben Brown is an up-and-coming daily vlogger whose talent is evident in every video he creates. Ben used to be a professional kayaker but decided to dedicate his time to photography and film. One scroll through his Instagram will leave you breathless. His photography uses perfect elements of light and focus. You could guess that his vlogging lives up to the same standards. From trips to Capetown, South Africa, to the streets of Los Angeles, California, he leaves his viewers wanting longer videos and a passport.

5. Thatcher Joe

At a whopping 4.9 million viewers, Joe Sugg is not new to the YouTube world. Sugg creates hilarious videos from impressions to self-created challenges that even Jimmy Fallon has used on "The Tonight Show." Sugg is another British YouTuber who continues to take the world by storm. He has even recently created a graphic novel that is to hit stores in the Fall.

6. Zoella

Zoella, sister of Joe Sugg, has outranked her brother with 8.6 million subscribers and climbing. Zoe’s videos range from makeup tutorials to challenges with other YouTubers. Her welcoming attitude and trend-worthy style keeps her viewers engaged. Zoe has won multiple awards for her channel and has consistently uploaded creative content. Aside from her wildly successful channel, she has created a new beauty line full of body products that are sold in most drugstores.

7. Grace Helbig

Helbig is a comedian, actress, YouTuber and now a talk show host. She is extremely talented and continues to inspire her viewers with funny content and witty parodies of typical YouTube videos. Her video of the Bean Boozle challenge will make you want to buy a bunch of jelly beans and try it out with your friends. Her videos are so successful that she went on to create a talk show on the E! channel. Her recent guests range from our childhood hero, Hilary Duff, to the very well-known Jack Black.

8. KathleenLights

On the other end of the YouTube spectrum is beauty guru KathleenLights. Kathleen has recently hit 1 million subscribers and her videos attest to her growing fan base. Her videos make makeup seem easy. She often includes budget friendly brands and explains everything step by step. Honestly, her voice alone will make you want to stay and watch. Kathleen is a Florida native but has a subtle Spanish accent that will make you swoon.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
