I can’t imagine a life without my little sister. She’s everything I wish I could have been at her age. Watching her grow into the beautiful, sassy, stubborn teenager she is has been quite the adventure. I wouldn’t change her for the world and I wish everyone was lucky enough to have a little sis like I have. The greatest gift my parents ever gave me was my little sister.I don’t thank her enough for all the things she does to make my life a little better every day so here are 8 things to thank my little sister.
1. Thank you for always listening to me. I can’t thank you enough for having to constantly listen to me complain about my day or my love life. No matter what I know I can count on you to be there for me when I’m having a bad day to just sit and talk with me. You have no idea how much I appreciate all our small, pointless conversations.
2. Thank you for binge watching Netflix with me. I am so grateful to have a sister who is obsessed with the same TV shows I love. Thank you for watching episodes of One Tree Hill with me over and over again.
3. Thank you for being a style icon. One thing I know for sure is that I never dressed as nice as you did when I was younger. When I was your age, I wore gauchos and crocs and you’re dressed like a model from a Seventeen magazine. You have the cutest style and I wish I had half the fashion sense that you have.
4. Thank you for being my inspiration. Every day I strive to become more like you. You have such a caring, kind soul and a loving personality. You’re an incredible person who always puts other people in front of you. Thank you for inspiring me each day to become more like you.
5. Thank you for being the strong little girl I wish I could have been. Junior High is tough. I know it annoys you when I say it but I’ve been there before. I know how girls are. Girls are cruel, but you have something I didn’t have when I was younger. You have courage. You know what is right and wrong and you’re not afraid to defend yourself and others. You stick up for what you believe in and you’re not afraid of being the outcast. You are so strong and independent.
6. Thank you for all the cuddles. Every time I come home to visit from college, I look forward to our late night cuddles. That’s one of the things I miss the most while I’m at school.
7. Thank you for always making me laugh. Thank you for always putting a smile on my face. Your sense of humor is one of a kind and I love hearing all of your silly jokes.
8. And most of all, thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for being my best friend. My day is not complete without calling or Facetiming you. You’re an amazing individual and I love that not only can I call you my sister, but also my best friend.
