8 Things to Remember Finals Week
Finals week is approaching and it is time to prepare. What do you need to do to succeed these 8 things will get you there!!
1. Find a place to Study that is not your bedroom
In your room you have access to television, your bed, and your friends. Go off campus or to the library and isolate yourself for awhile. This way you will get much more done.
2. Sleep anytime you can and as much as possible
Sleep is the key to doing well. Without it, you will reach a limit where you don't retain any information no matter how many times you reread your notes. Even if it is in the middle of the afternoon sleep for awhile, but make sure to set your alarm.
3. Prioritize your finals
Figure out what class you are doing the worst in or which class the final counts the most for and dedicate more time to that class rather than the class you already have an A in.
4. Yes, you are leaving your friends, but focus
Yes, the year is coming to an end and you want to spend time with your friends, but remember you've done that all semester. For once focus on your work and decide to stay in. They will still be your friends after finals, promise.
5. There is such a things as too much caffeine
Don't drink too much caffeine, it really is bad for you. For every cup of coffee have 4 cups of water.
6. Make sure you eat healthy food
Eating healthy also helps you stay healthier and in the end be more successful. Try to eat fruits, veggies, and protein rather than a bag of chips at 4am at the library. Your body and mind will thank you.
7. It is okay to ask for help
Ask your friends to quiz you. Talk to your teachers, your sorority sisters, or that random person in class. People may help you understand that point you haven't gotten in class for weeks.
8. Download the Self Control App
The self control app blocks any website that you decide for an allotted amount of time. This way when your mind wanders you will go back to studying.
