Have you ever taken the Myers Briggs Personality Test? Well, part of the test tells you if you are an introvert or an extrovert. Every time I've taken that test, it has told me that I'm extroverted, and I couldn't understand why. This was until someone told me to answer the questions completely honestly, even if I felt like a jerk with some of my answers. I took the test again and it told me that I am introverted, which makes so much sense!! So, if you're a fellow introvert, you might relate to some of the things I am about to describe.

1. Keeping away from big social events as much as possible.

Whether it's a party or a meeting, social events are one of those things that you avoid with all of your might. But when you have to go, you bring yourself to go.

2. Avoiding small-talk.

Sometimes small-talk is inevitable, but it makes you cringe just thinking about it.

3. When you can't avoid small talk, you end up saying something really dumb.

Every time I get into a small-talk type of situation with someone, I end up tripping over my tongue, or just saying something that doesn't make sense. And then the other person just nods and changes the subject. This is a worst nightmare, of course, but it's even worse because it actually happened and you can't stop replaying that cringe-y moment in your head.

4. Elevators are the worst.

You pray that someone doesn't get into the same elevator that you are in, because elevators are big, moving, isolation rooms that force you to share the same space with a stranger. Sometimes, the "door close" button is the first one you hit as soon as you get on.

5. Trying not to make eye contact with strangers.

Making eye contact with strangers is like staring into their soul...and them staring into yours. And then, when you lock eyes with them, what do you do? Smile? That's weird, better just leave the scene and act like I was never here in the first place.

6. Confrontation feels like a death sentence.

You'd rather just figure it out on your own or just deal with the situation because it doesn't feel worth it to say something to someone because it could turn awkward.

7. People stereotype you.

People think you're shy, stuck up, sad, or all of the above. They don't seem to understand that you like being alone and kept to yourself.

8. You surprise people.

This is a nice feeling. Just because you're more reserved, it doesn't mean you aren't extremely smart or really funny or have some crazy hidden talent. Once you show people that part of you, they're shocked because they didn't expect it from the quiet one.

Being introverted can be a struggle sometimes, but it has its perks. These were only some of the things that introverts know and can relate to very well. I hope this spoke to you if you are a fellow introvert, and if you are an extrovert, then I hope you got a better understanding of what introverts are like.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
