6. Burning Man: August 28-September 5, 2016.
This is one of the most unique festivals I have ever come across. Burning Man is an annual gathering that takes place at Black Rock City—a temporary community erected in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. They even have their own name for the festival goers; Burner (n): a citizen of the worldview that is Burning Man. May be encountered everywhere. Taking place on an ancient lake bed, this event is one you are going to want to experience at least once in your lifetime. With 25,000 tickets sold, this small city will be completely nonexistent when the festival picks up its roots for the year.
